@BertHigginbottom although it doesn't quite match up , it is in fact Cozy playing along to the 1812 Overture (presumably a backing track). There are much clearer versions on here.
Well, I was going to say, "Haven't you ever seen a performance where there is a full orchestra backing up a 'soloist'?"... Then I actually watched the video :( At least he started to actually do something other then pound his cymbles as hard as he could. Not my favorite video and a great way to dis-honor Tchaikovsky
Maybe you should see the whole video. Look for Best drum solo ever by Cozy powell and wacht it in HD. you probably will appreciate him more. The best dubbel bass drummer ever.
Awesome!!! I was lucky enough to see Rainbow many times and saw this performance more than once. I thought that the years might have exaggerated my memories, but no, it's every bit as good as I remember!! Long live Rock and Roll.
Wonderful

I don't think the Vid and the music match up. I think it was a solo in the middle of 'All night long' Some clown's added the 1812 for a laugh.
Cudda been an April fool thingy

Tchaikovsky, a Russian composer, wrote this song.
You may also be familiar with the Nutcracker.
