I remember trying to get my tractor and trailer into a coal strippin in PA once(Single axle) and could not make it up this one grade. One of the workers came by with his F-250. We hooked up a chain. I could not believe what a little more pull would make the difference...over the top we went.
Wow I'm honestly impressed they fit in there, I had 37" Dick Cepeks on a stock 77F150 for a day once, Couldnt hardly turn, and hell to take off on stock gears, when I got home I put my 33's back on. lol
NO oil delivery is worth getting yourself into a jam with your truck, if the driveway doesn't look good I don't go into it, not worth the down time and aggrevation
Dude you have ZERO wheel Well clearance, you need to lift your truck at least at a minimum 4", stock f150 fords can fit 35" without problem, an f2/350 maybe 37"s
@dreamcharger01 those are 39.5's they dont rub on anything but the wheel flare rubber...There are added springs front and rear, I kinda like the lower center of gravity..But it would look sweeter up a little higher
@dreamcharger01 I have a set of 39"s (11.00R16 Michelin XL's) under an Unlifted 1988 F250 4x4 8600lb GVW I have 3 Inches of clearance at my fenders on the front and 4 in the Back and Only had to do some Mild trimming for Turning(Bumper ends) My truck is STILL at OE Original Ride Height
I love Fords and I have pull started a semi with my PowerStoke. This video is not a truck pulling another one out. The Ford pictured has too big of tires to get the traction to do the job. The weight of the truck does work as an anchor for the wench. Even a full size Toyota would have done the same job.
@Alaskaforby4 I've been there. I also live in a very Snowy place. Right underneath Alaska. However for some reason i did not realize it earlier. IS that now i see that it is possible. I mean, your truck suprisingly stayed anchored. However the Winch did the work... but who cares about that. Regardless, Nice truck.
Ummm, you're pretty much proving it by running your cock holster and providing 0 proof, so, yep, you have not the first clue. Care to prove me wrong or you just gonna keep talking shit?
@BIGTAZ351 that is a class B truck, max legal weight: 26000lbs, if it had tandems. It has a single axel meaning its weight limit is lower. The biggest truck international makes only weighs 16000 lbs. Without a trailer, and that truck is far smaller. You have probably doubled its capacity, it probably only has a 1500 gal tank, making its cargo 10500. I may be a little shy on the 10 ton but only by a ton or so. At the beginning the truck put slack in the cable telling me it only needed a nudge.
Nice work. Smart way to get the truck out, having the winch comes in handy I'm sure.
You're not going to get any better traction than being static. If you were trying to yank the truck out by reversing you'd would probably just be spinning the tires alot. Nice truck, I want me an old Ford.
I don't think your math skills are very good....the empty chassis and tank weigh 15,000+ and that appears to be a loaded (look at the rear ride height, most of these do not have air ride) 3000 gallon truck, so 3000x7lbs a gallon = 21000 + 15000 = 36,000 lbs./ 2000lbs a ton =18 tons. "18 tons Winched out by 5 tons"
maybe with another truck ancored behind it. you gotta have winch and a lot of weight/traction. nissans and honda dont have that. nice job ford guy. thats comming from a chevy guy. check out 1998 chevy truck burnout blue 2500 hd.

@dougday84 your gay honda couldnt even make it through the snow so good luck with that...not to mention you would either tear your frame in half or pull your car into the snow bank
@faded2blak lol.. you act like I'm totally pro-honda.. I actually own a ford truck.. But this video isn't demonstrating FORDS awsomeness.. it's demonstrating a winch.. I just thought the title should be something along the line of 'ford truck winches out truck' or something along those lines.. oh well.
@dougday84 yah maybe tied down to a tree ya fuckin idiot. honda only weighs like what 1000-2000 pounds if your winch was rated 10000 pounds ya can still only use double your weight which is only 2000-4000 pounds. Why be such a dick when ya dont know shit?
@gmcbigrig79 what!? I own a ford truck.. i know what i'm talking about d bag. I was simply stating that this video, though its cool that he could help the guy out, is not all that impressive.. it's a big truck, with big tires.. just sitting there being heavy so the winch could do the work. Impressive?! I don't think so. if I had a winch on my honda and chained it to a tree and it would be doing the same thing. this is a video of a winch doing work, nothing else.
@dougday84 Im not tryin to be mean man but a honda doesnt even have a full frame I think you'd twist it if ya tied it to a tree and used a 10000lb winch(or whatever your usin in that matter). This truck didnt have to be tied to a tree. Yah the winch did most of the work but the truck had to be able to handle the pull. what I dont understand is why cant we appreciate the fact that the guy put the video up.
@VIGILANTESTWIN Of Course What Held On To The Ford Let Alone I Guess The Ford Wasnt Slippin Or Slidin Towards The Fuel Truck. Guess The Winch Didnt Do ALL The Work.
Did you anchor yourself to a tree? Ive pulled many people out of snowy/icy stuck places with my Jeep with 33'' MT claws with lockers and if they were really stuck and were heavier than me I would pull my self to them at least some.
Also why does any commercial truck not have a PTO winch in Alaska? thats cheap, add a winch save some lives : )
How much do you have to reinforce the frame to mount that powerful of a winch? My F350 has a hydraulic PTO to a non-existent dump bed, and I was thinking of running a winch from my truck.
@amc75matador Yes and No...a 10,000lb truck with 18in wide boggers stays anchored and will actually pull the load to it....but the winch did do most of the work =D
@Blakbox99 And that power supply can come from any vehicle. This video should be praising the maker of that winch. Secure it to a tree and you get the same results.
Gay...the winch did the work, nothing to do with the fact the truck's a ford. So it should be dubbed "another one for the mighty *insert brand of winch*" T_T
Good bit of positioning on the downside of the road, and hate to say it guys...a winch with a snatch block or pulley setup like that would of worked on the same year chevy or dodge, they just dont make them as well now days. Good pull man.
Fords heavyer, odds are even with the same exact winches, the Fords gonna help more, Just cause the weight helps to anchor it to the ground,
Ive got a 10k / warn on my XJ "6.5in / 35s" and many times ive been helpless to other guys, But someone with a bronco / chopped up P/U have pulled them with no problem, "cause the extra weight"
Its funny how so many people make fun of guys with big trucks... Ill tell you one thing though, you start singing a different tune when your tiny car gets parked in a ditch.
my grandfather had a 73 F-350 one ton posie rear end 2wd and my uncle got stuck with a loaded oil truck in mud and that ol ford pulled her out no problem and that truck could plow snow like you wouldnt beleave never once in 10 years of owning that truck have we had a storm she cant plow gotaa love the fords its got a 351 Windsor with a 4 speed trans
@iloveextremesports1 ya the motor was put in the truck it had a stock 351 m and it was blown wen we got it and we put that windsor in it and never hada problem
American trucks First and formost , however i own a 93 explorer and 273,000 miles on it and she runs like a champ and she is! We all love our brand and thats good but ford trucks are what they say Built FORD TOUGH. Someone has to be on top.
Alaskaforby4, God bless you man! I am a truck driver and i have been stuck in snow and a nice guy like yourself drove by in a dodge pickup 4x4 and pulled my out like a champ! tried to pay the guy but he refused! your all right man, BTW I bet you made that guys day!
@brockislivingin1998 Yeah, I was disappointed when I didn't see the truck move. So you're right, the truck isn't doing anything except holding it's place due to gravity and mass and snow.
@Travis1993a Is that a 4 cylinder in that 89 or a 6 cylinder? I had an 1988 but I often pulled 2000-3000 pounds on a trailer for several thousand miles and wore out the rings by about 130,000 miles, in a 4 cylinder.
u guys dissing ford are retarted. a truck is a truck its all in what a guy does to it most of the time. no i dont really like the newer fords...... only cause they support gay peolpe.... but the old fords are a darn good truck
gm is still taking government hand outs.yes their the best NOT! Ford sells so far so good no government money needed ..........who the best think we all know FORD the best never rest !!!!!
ooh, ok, i was wondering why your were hooked up backwards.. didnt even think about a winch. your truck definetly held its ground. lol, id expect the winch to pull you to the tanker, not the opposite.
id take a ford over a chev any day, esp. a 60's thru 70's ford there the best ever made (: , and for thoes who dont think ford is good, i got a 91 ford f150 with a stock 302 and A/T tranny, and it blows the doors of my buddies 93 1500 with a 350, K&N intake and a 5 speed tranny, idk but to me that seems like it proves my point, i also have 151,000 miles on my truck, he has 80 some thousand.
I'm a Chevy guy, but have no probs with other truck brands.
GM -- General Maintenance
CHEVROLET -- Can Hear Every Valve Rattle On Long Extended Trips.
FORD -- F#@$, Our Ride Died.
FORD -- Friggin' Old Rebuilt Dodge
DODGE -- Don't Over Drive Gutless Engines
Love the look of the Ford in this video. Has a cool stance, very menacing. Reminds me of Bob Chandler's original F250 Bigfoot. Love that truck and 4 x 4 era.
@littleboybass i had a 77 blazer, an 81 scottsdale 4by and an 86 silverado 4by, the none of them could touch the 70's fords that where around. overrated government motors anyway
@devja71 How many 1970's ford trucks did you see that were crew cab?? I just saw one on You Tube the other day and was kinda supprised, didn't know there were any.
i've seen a few 73-79 crews but not too many. i've seen a few 67-72 crews and saw only 1 61-66 crew in downtown l.a once. probably where built for railroad companies and so-on.
You know you should have had a blanket or something over the center of the line in case it gave way. I've seen them snap first hand and not only damage the vehicle but send people to the hospital, luckily for only minor injury. They CAN kill though...
The winch pulled it not the ford!!! Chevy all day.

If you tried with a chevy you'd have two stuck trucks.

what engine is in the ford, and is it a PTO winch?
PTO transmission?
splavin90 2 years ago
you need to give this a new title " warner winch pulling out fully loaded fuel truck"
brockislivingin1998 2 years ago
@brockislivingin1998 Yeah, I was disappointed when I didn't see the truck move. So you're right, the truck isn't doing anything except holding it's place due to gravity and mass and snow.

my 89 ranger is rusty but trust- shes got 324,000 miles on her and shes still goin like crazy..
Travis1993a 2 years ago
@Travis1993a Is that a 4 cylinder in that 89 or a 6 cylinder? I had an 1988 but I often pulled 2000-3000 pounds on a trailer for several thousand miles and wore out the rings by about 130,000 miles, in a 4 cylinder.
Delticola 2 years ago
arent you just winching him out?
KINGJB3100 2 years ago
u guys dissing ford are retarted. a truck is a truck its all in what a guy does to it most of the time. no i dont really like the newer fords...... only cause they support gay peolpe.... but the old fords are a darn good truck

mofoco1971 2 years ago
Ford looses value soons as you pull it off the lot, chevy has the highest resell value of trucks

04DURAMAXLB7 2 years ago 2
Ya.......I guess I could have named it "76 Warn Winch pulls out fully loaded fuel truck"......oh well
Alaskaforby4 2 years ago 3
@Alaskaforby4
ooh, ok, i was wondering why your were hooked up backwards.. didnt even think about a winch. your truck definetly held its ground. lol, id expect the winch to pull you to the tanker, not the opposite.
04DURAMAXLB7 2 years ago
i just posted something really close to this then scrolled down on the comments n seen this haha
brockislivingin1998 2 years ago
@Alaskaforby4 lol

@04DURAMAXLB7 that winch wouldn't have done shit if it didn't have a strong heavy frame to be bolted to and strong tires to hold it back.

id take a ford over a chev any day, esp. a 60's thru 70's ford there the best ever made (: , and for thoes who dont think ford is good, i got a 91 ford f150 with a stock 302 and A/T tranny, and it blows the doors of my buddies 93 1500 with a 350, K&N intake and a 5 speed tranny, idk but to me that seems like it proves my point, i also have 151,000 miles on my truck, he has 80 some thousand.

Great video.

chevys use hp not a winch. could of put the winch on a tree done the same thing
Robertdadof4girls 2 years ago
Sorry bud, but Chevy's dont have HP ... And also, the Ford may have used a winch, but it didnt even slip ;) Ford Tough!
littleboybass 2 years ago
They all break the same it is cheaper and easier to fix a Chevy I have owned them both and prefer Chevy over ford any day.
Robertdadof4girls 2 years ago
Chevy's don't have HP?! Now I've heard it all! How did you come up with that one?
rickerY2k9 2 years ago
Maybe u should start reading bud ;) Ford, top selling company for about 40 years now. And where's Chevy, usually number 3 or 4
littleboybass 2 years ago
@littleboybass
Which has absolutely nothing to do with horsepower, dipshit.
rickerY2k9 2 years ago
A little yes. HP was one of the catagories ya fuckin douche bag
littleboybass 2 years ago
@littleboybass
Do more research, ALL trucks' motors are comparable in HP.
rickerY2k9 2 years ago
Maybe yes, but the Ford has still out Performed Chevy and Chrysler for the las 35-40 years now ..
littleboybass 2 years ago 3
@littleboybass
Says who, where do you get your info from?
rickerY2k9 2 years ago
From all over. Everywhere bud. Ford History, Automobile mag, Motor Trend, Popular Mechanics . . it's all over. And also, common sense ;)
littleboybass 2 years ago
@littleboybass
Ok dude, whatever you say. I'm not saying your wrong but your arguement just isnt very convincing. I think you're confusing fact with opinion.
rickerY2k9 2 years ago
@littleboybass i had a 77 blazer, an 81 scottsdale 4by and an 86 silverado 4by, the none of them could touch the 70's fords that where around. overrated government motors anyway
devja71 2 years ago
@devja71 How many 1970's ford trucks did you see that were crew cab?? I just saw one on You Tube the other day and was kinda supprised, didn't know there were any.
Delticola 2 years ago
i've seen a few 73-79 crews but not too many. i've seen a few 67-72 crews and saw only 1 61-66 crew in downtown l.a once. probably where built for railroad companies and so-on.

You know you should have had a blanket or something over the center of the line in case it gave way. I've seen them snap first hand and not only damage the vehicle but send people to the hospital, luckily for only minor injury. They CAN kill though...
