@ash81b4u the stories are incoherent and very stupid. The worst part is that I spend as much time skipping through them because they can't stop putting story in their RPGs rather than gameplay. I literally spent 7 minutes doing this in Kingdom Hearts.

You think so? I love games from Europe. I like them better than most japanese stuff. The only things I really love from japan are bullet hell shooters and platformers. I honestly think they make terrible rpgs except a select few. And I have yet to see a japanese fps or much of anything else that can easily be put in a genre. Europe does most everything well...but not Call of Duty.

@TronPachioftheDynamo I'll take your word on the FPS. Most of the Japanese shooters etc come in better packaging and seem to be nicer all round. Won't try any of the RPG's as I wouldn't understand them.

This one's definately on the hit list after watching your cool gameplay. Only the Japanese could package a game like this!..the GC compact packaging style looks bloody marvelous imo! Cheers for showing this mate, appreciated. :D

Great gameplay vid, looks a smart gamecube game, from the top of my head the only GC shooter I have is probably Ikaruga so its another one for the list, I'm really loving all the utube shooter love thats going around at the moment :)

I'm looking forward to monday, I've just paid some import duty on a play asia parcel which is Deathsmiles IIx LE version, it would have arrived Thur/Fri if it wasnt for customs :( I cant recommend enough how amazing some of the jap xb360 shooters are.

@craigsheree There are a couple of gamecube shooters I have ordered and should be here soon. Not that many on the system tho. Yes I ahve watched a few vids on Xbox 360 shooters and they are impressive.

Hi mate, have all 3 on the PC Engine... I do have the MSX version, but unfortunately left it behind along with a couple of other games the msx in London. I'm having them sent to me. So hopefully, will do a gameplay vid soon. :D I need to get that GC version :D You should also track down PC kid (PC Genjin) & Adventure Island( both Jap only) on the GC

I played star soldier on NES a couple of months ago, it's badass, it's like galaga. I enjoy doing the rapid fire and not having it be automated, nice vid

Have you played Super Star Soldier and Final Soldier for the PC Engine?

@ash81b4u Oh yeah they're great games especially Final Soldier. I play them on the PC Engine emulator Ootake for PC. However they are both now available for download on the Wii virtual console. I don't have an actual PC Engine because stuff is just way too scarce hardware and software wise.
