I agree with Rikenrocker. In 69 I don't think John would have been able to do this better than Paul, despite what he said. I would have LOVED to hear an early 60s John have a go at this though.

Love this song though, I think it's Paul's equivalent to John's "Twist and Shout" in terms of vocals.

It is Paul. Read the books. Every morning for a week he went into the studio before the other Beatles came and sang a new version till he got it like he wanted it to be. And that's not John harmonizing, but Paul with himself
