  • HOLD THE CAMERA STILL GODAMMIT.

    Good playing though.. :D

  • awesome beat!

  • Keep it up fellow you do have talent ..U.K.

  • fuck man youre sound is shit but youre solo is crazy very good man

  • @nitrohmx It's a variation on the Crazy Army solo

  • @nitrohmx yeah Crazy Army to be exact

  • Awensome !!! que rapido eres !

    exelente performance !

  • Now that's what I call a single stroke roll.

  • tom do you listen to the mars volta at all??

  • If i was him i would go crazy! I would be throwing some huge beats with a double bass. Some metal shit lol

  • @crazytime666 but huge beats with double bass arent hard, what this kid is doing is actually difficult...

  • YOU ARE A FUCKIN' BEAST!!!

  • ste4ve gadd!!

  • hi im alex ur brillient

  • da next john bonham

  • I'd probably give up one my nuts, to be able to play like this. Crazy good.

  • big up yaself :D your a beast on the kit!!!

  • you are my idol right now man. i play drums too, you should try playing some hard rock :) like holy shit , i love you man, keep posting videos!

  • little buddy rich in that too, near the end.

  • @imjkwu123 ya!!! so true!! but seriously at one point around 4:10 he doing it so fast it seems like his wrist aren't moving.. man

  • This kid is a very technically skilled drummer. He could definitely chew up most the guys jamming him just with his snare work alone. As far as Gadd goes, more power to him to be influenced by a legend. These 11 year olds that are this dedicated usually end up freaky good.

  • Props...Mad Props. (thumbs up smiley face)

  • steve gadd on buddy rich memorial?

  • so its very steve gadd get off the dudes nuts.

  • when i saw ur guinness record video, i thought ud be more metal, guess not haha

  • @superdog1321 What's so funny about your stupidness?

  • @dmarsh33 its an opinion, ur an idiot

  • @superdog1321 Your opinion is useless. That is my point. You are useless.

  • @dmarsh33 ur a faggot dude. uve got nothing better to do then comment on my post?

  • @superdog1321 I'm commenting on your ignorance. You can't comprehend it. You viewed this young mans video and you laughed at him because he did not meet your ignorant expectations. I'm sure the last thing this young man wants to be is "metal." His skills do not indicate that would care to be "Metal."

  • @superdog1321 But because of your ignorance and laughing at him I had to defend him, because you are one stupid useless unknowledgeable sack of shit. My dick has a higher IQ than your pea brain. So Mr. Faggot come suck on my higher learning tool, "Dude". Grow up you piece of shit. You will never as good as me in anything in life. Since I broke this down to you piece by piece, will you learn your lesson and behave when you view someones work? I doubt it! Go choke on some cock dip shit.

  • @dmarsh33 ur retarded arent u?

  • @superdog1321 Hardly! What bothers you is that you are just a punk kid and I got you on your retardness. I will always have more knowledge than you.

  • SMASH THE SHIT OUT OF THAT SNARE

    you crazy BAAASTARD

that was so crazy man, well done

    keep up the good work

and keep workin that fuckin' blast away bro, hectic.

  • It sounds a lot like the Vinnie Colaiuta drum solo. Watch the drumsolo of Dave Weckle, Vinnie Colaiuta and Steve Gadd. The beginning is almost the same.

But that is important actually... This is just a very good solo.

  • Steve Gadd you mean?

  • @darthjoey13 yes you are right... sometimes I have the talented gift to be a little bit noob;)

  • worlds best drummer yo!

  • not best but sure as hell the fastest

  • wtf why did i put best lmao i ment fastest sorry lol thx bro.

  • nice shirt...

  • im nt in2 drummin but dude u r fkn AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!

  • this video should be "imitation of steve gadd"

  • finnnaly someone whom can play fukin fast on drum's making something musical.

  • De puta madre!!!!

  • single that sounded like roll = crazy speed

I like how it's musical, not chop crazy

  • Wow way to copy Steve Gadd's solo.

  • He's better than Gadd bitch. He's worlds greatest fucker. Don't be jealous.

  • bah...imitation of steve gadd???

  • mangini WAS the fastest till seth davis kicked his ass on youtube! look for themoellerkillers channel on here and see for yourself that he DEVISTATES!!!

  • schöne snare muss man echt sagen.

aber fastes drumme bist du aber noch lang nicht :D.

aber ist ein sehr gelungenes solo

  • WOW!!!!!! That was awesome!!!!!!!

  • nice! this makes you god, but if later on you add a double bass drum at the same speed as your hands, then damn, you'll create a new dimension

  • Doubel bass does not make you any more of a drummer. The smaller the kit, and the more amazing sounds you can make from it, the better you are.

  • Actually I like more options on my drums set :P Im keeping it minimized though... Double bass normal set and 2 crashes... Double sure added a lot to my playing

  • Same here.

  • lol yea double bass can suck a cunt lol

  • I disagree... If Tim decides to start with double bass, he opens a different chapter withing drumming, but still... he got some mean skills now too :P

  • @Blindpain666

    i think that's impossible D;

  • wait!!!....he's from texas!?!?!?!?!?

  • hes not fom texas hes from grande prairie alberta

  • That.....was.....>DISGUSTING! =D Nice job Tom! Keep it up man!

  • Damn,

Learn how to hold a camera!

  • steve gadd lol

  • yep, i hear some 'Crazy Army' ?

  • nice job

  • My fav part is easily 1:12! Anyone know how he does it?

  • buzz strokes on the snare...

  • that's an old steve gadd lick.

  • just let the stick do the work

  • totally copied from this one guy in the eigthies that did a trio its the same damn beat

  • Steve Gadd, and so what? It's a heaps funky beat, why wouldnt you copy it?

People have been copying other people's idea's long before this guy.

  • in the style of that known solo. wasn't a transcription or anything

  • that sounds like something i would hear from John Bonham, excelent job

  • I might be able to do that if I had a drum set in my apartment and no one heard it to complain and I took lessons and practiced and stuff.

  • thats the most accurate comment i've ever heard! now do it!

  • Crazy Army.

  • Yamaha kits rock!

  • dude youre so good , im thinking in stole some of your beats, at least what i can play XD

  • fuck that cam ......neway drumer was awesome

  • hmm traditional style drumming is a pain on a kit.

    good loooks man.

  • u should play for a proper band u would get payed heaps pwn people with that sound

  • You ever consider joining a Metal band? You would pwn so hard dude

  • man thats some crazy work there : D

im playing for 1 1/2 year now and im just fascinated on what ur doin there : D

    Its really good : D

How long did it take you to learn to do them single strokes at that speed?

im really impressed on that one : D

    veeery veery nice ;)

  • great solo! the camerawork can burn in hell however.

  • I totally agree!

  • HAHAHA!!! made my day. :)

  • i have the same shirt as him

  • c'est inspiré d'un solo de steeve gadd non?? en tout cas bravo

  • thats complete beast. lol.

  • He's only 17... wow

  • okay you're fast but you're boring to listen to

  • how many different types of music do you listen to again?

it might be boring to you but to other people that listen to jazz and all that fun stuff this is quite exciting and very fun to listen to.

  • Thanks Alex,

I listen to a lot of Jazz and I also listen to rock, classical, latin, funk, hip-hop... basically anything that sounds good.

  • yea i listen to jazz all the time. it's actually my favorite genre of music.

  • well if its your favorite i'm sure you should have been able to understand why its actually fun to listen to and exciting. it actually does depend on who you listen to also though.

btw tom you're a beast. great solo. you have very quick hands and a good sense of time.

  • Who the fuck is working the camera

  • Poor snare xD

  • hes trying to do the steve gadd solo at buddy rich concert....he could have atleast got it down before playing it in front of people!

  • Dude, maybe he took bits of what he liked and made some variations out of it? Ever thought of that? Who's to say he wanted to copy Gadd's solo bit by bit? Maybe he took bits he liked and wanted to make the rest his own. Look man, this kid is 17 years old in this video and he's already busting out little Steve Gadd licks. That's really impressive if you ask me. I think he did an amazing job.

  • actually look up gadd's first bit in the buddy rich memorial...he didnt copy the whole thing, but i could tell the bits he tried to do....he did better than i would, im not really giving out, just a comment...i saw the vid was called the fastest drummer and clicked on it knowing he was so young!

  • RE: lighterhead

I fail to see how this is boring. If you don't find this video entertaining then I suggest you watch Tom's new video (drum solo at Rumors) because it really is entertaining and he shows off his chops way more than he usually does.

    Here's the link: /watch?v=rZQEGBONN28

  • Well I'll try to explain myself, I didn't mean to sound arrogant or anything (my singles are not that consistent). I just thought he could have showed a little more style and technique rather than speed. You can only play the same thing for so long before it becomes redundant.

    Thanks for the link

  • I watched the video, much better than this one thanks.

I guess the world's fastest drummers just have different things to show. I just think his technique has a long way to go on drum set. But his singles are siiick. Thanks again

  • don't know what you're talking about lighterhead, this kid has got some incredible technique on the drums and remember it's a lot harder than it looks.

  • I disagree. I think he has incredible stick control and uses his fulcrum to the maximum extent, which is something I can't do. Hardly anyone can honestly. When I say drum set technique I'm leaning towards variety. For instance, he doesn't really groove in this video. Technical grooves are harder than learning to play fast. Go look up Tony Royster, Royster Jr., they have good technique.

  • I think you're confusing the actual application of technique on drums and technique itself. This guy has technique down really well (it would be foolish to say he didn't). But when it comes to technique on drums, that's an entirely different mater and it comes down to opinion as well.

He didn't lay down any groove for this solo because he decided to take a different route by the looks of things. And just for the record, he CAN groove. Keep watching his videos (in the future) and you'll see.

  • Yes he can groove, I watched many of his videos. I agree. All I was saying is that this particular piece was not entertaining to me. Of course he has technique, that's what I meant by stick control etc.

    Thanks

  • Yeah but he makes it look so easy. This video is to drumming what Guitar Hero is to guitar playing.

  • Watch your traditional hand placement. Make sure it's at more of an angle. It's looking slouchingestsa.s haha.

    Good job.

  • all thought, at 3:46-4:37 he's got to have some major chops

  • steve gadd? pretty slick.

  • Dude I wasn't even that close when I was Seventeen. Nice job Tom I can honestly say I Jealous. Keep Up the Good work.

  • lawlz.....

  • cool i think you extremely amazing

  • Nice Buddy Rich in there @ 4:26

  • nice

  • The man can have any woman he wants.

  • wow very sick!!! i cant even believe you!!! =)

how long have you/he been playing for?

  • Thanks! I've been playing drums since I was 12 years old.

  • good job dude

  • Awesome man you so go to my school or did, you should check my guitar vids

  • It was to a certain extent.
