  • This video is lame, other then bratty high school students, who has a problem with Chemistry? The Simpsons did it better by the way.

  • i have a t shirt with the international year of chemistry

  • The concrete should have been gone.

  • how come he's sittin on his stairs made in cement when everything is gone coz of the absence of chemistry??

  • The sun shouldn't be out then

  • Huh? Who is opposed to chemistry, then? Is this some political message? Say NO to Prop 362 banning chemistry! lol

  • The newspaper was printed with INK!

  • without chemistry I wasn't on my computer writing a comment on youtube xD

  • 1:02 NO MY LCD!!!!!

  • no chemistry, no peanut butter?? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • I liked the animation. LOL that the pill boxes were missing the WHMIS labels

  • He should have died in the first second then.

  • τελειο!!χημεια=η αρχη και το τελος!!!

  • Physics is the mother of all science!

  • This is one of the stupidest pieces of pro-industry propaganda I have ever seen. Chemistry is an extremely general category that includes both helpful and totally evil poisonous chemicals. A movie like this that tries to get us to blindly accept all chemistry as good, is scary industry propaganda. The cute music is one dead giveaway.

  • @goodword911 Ignorance revealed. All this video shows is how much our life is affected by chemistry. Things you use every day - refrigeration, combustion engines, pharmaceuticals, saucepan coatings, hygiene products, food additives(artificial flavours etc), dyes, electronic components...Calling poisonous chemicals *evil* is just silly as well - bleach, for example, is seriously harmful but used in every home - it wasn't invented to harm people! Dangerous substances are clearly marked.

  • @Magneilium. no one called anything evil.

    1. dangerous substances are NOT always clearly marked. often the danger of many substances aren't discovered until after they cause many deaths.

    2. No one is saying these things were "invented to harm people" (your putting words in my mouth) they were invented to make $, and certain sociopathic business people will do anything, to including making stupid videos like this to insure that these chemicals are used regardless of the toxic impact on us

  • @goodword911 your words "totally evil poisonous chemicals" ~3 weeks ago. The video just tries to show how far we have come thanks to chemistry. You suggest researchers are just in it for the money, without a care for human suffering. Imagine how many people are fed thanks to advances in fertilisers, how many illnesses prevented from vaccines, how quickly we travel thanks to petroleum products.

  • @goodword911 Why do you hate chemistry so much ?

I'm sure almost every person wants to make $ with their discoveries, but that doesn't make them evil, you're being extremist about this movie, wich is only to celebrate chemistry, I don't see any propaganda, unless toothpaste is some evil poison (I hope not) xD

  • @goodword911 IDIOT.. FUCKING NARROW MINDED IDIOT... GO LIVE IN A CAVE AND HUNT ANIMALS AND DIE OF SICKNESS AT AN EARLY AGE FUCKING CRO MAGNON

  • Why do his glasses stay on? No doubt they are made from plastic!

  • LOVE this! .....BUT....96.8% of schools have YouTube blocked...so, I couldn't show it to my kids to day on our live MHTV show without being a bit of a pirate. I used Keepvid dot com to download it - show my kids then upload it to Flickr to get the embed code for our MHMS Daring School Media blog...hope you don't mind!

    ~Gwyneth

    the daring librarian

  • @gwynethanne ps, i totally made up that 96.8% statistic...but like it's a LOT!

  • stupid video~~

  • NOOOOO!!!

    NOT THE PEANUT BUTTER!!!!

  • Sorry Jimmy. Without zinc for the rotary mechanism, there are no telephones.

  • Artificial snow!! NOOOO

  • I can't tell if I like how busy this is, or I hate it. How many moving panels do you need at once?

  • Without chemistry, we wouldn't know the properties of a lot of stuff. Like silicon and Gold. Silicon and Gold, coincidentally, are the two major components of microchips. Without chemistry, we wouldn't have the plastics or the rubber to house the major components. Neither would we have the metal to make the factory to make computers widespread.

    AKA: WITHOUT CHEMISTRY=NO YOUTUBE=NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • And glasses. Should've had the glasses go ~poof~ too.

  • Oh, come ON! Just because you live in a world without chemistry doesn't mean that you can't build a house! Although I'm sure making a mirror or toothpaste or any of that stuff is possible, I still think that structural engineering is fully capable of living without chemistry!

Oh, but besides that, you were spot on. :)

  • @taergehtekim Certainly nothing like the modern homes we've come to enjoy. I mean, there would be no cement foundation, or glass, or nails to stamp planks of wood together. No alloy saws to cut said planks of wood. It'd be a shitty hovel, bro.

  • @taergehtekim Who would build the house? Man is an Organic Compound after all. :)
