They certainly did not. It's a myth created by 18th century opera. There's hardly anything worse than having horns on your helmet when going into war. Not once have there been found any viking age helmets with horns, nor are there any other archeological proof of this. It's simply a myth, which is untrue. Vikings never used horns.

I think what everyone needs to understand is that this is a movie made with lego, and it just so happens that lego viking helmets have horns. I know that it may be hard to deal with, but honestly, it's just a movie... I think they look cool.
