@bricktownrules lol I was considering Daver before I hit this vid. Do you know much about the quality of his instruments? e.g does he do the 17 degree headstock, fret binding and use mahongany backs, necks with a maple top (or veneer is fine)? Does he use nitrocellulose finish? Thanks.
my trade tang chinese guitar needed quite a bit of set up, which i can sort of do and did, and now it's fine. a pretty sweet tele that looks like the standard usa model but for $220 plus the cost of replacing the pickups. so, $330 which is what a new squire standard, which is very nice too, would cost at g.c. (before you replace those pickups). i don't know about shipping something as fragile as a gibson copy from china, though. anything with a set neck is very fragile.
i'm surprised it passed customs... it's got the f-nder tele logo, 'made in usa', etc. technically i think customs could have seized it. it cleared customes in a few hours.
okay, i got a tele replica from trade tange seller. 1. item not same as in picture but acceptable close. 2., neck pocket is angled so the neck is slightly skewed, 3., nut was cut about 1/16" crooked. these can be fixed, but i won't order from a t-t seller again unless I can be sure they'll send quailty products. the body and neck are actually very nice. the body is not basswood, it's quite heavy. i'm thinking it may actually be alder. $200 invested. just enough with t-t for me.

Hey all! I just bought the Newest May Honeyburst with chome grovers from Dave. $350 with case. No taxs. No extra fees. The case is definitely worth it. Fit and finish are perfect. Sound is good. They have Epi pickups. Took less than a week. Essentially it's discounted Epi made to look like a Gibson. Big Surprise! But well worth it!

If you search thru tradetang enough(i.e. - at/for other kinds of products), you'll notice that they dont use full product names or show many pics of the brand that the product is a counterfeit of. I'd imagine this is to keep the gig running for longer, as many companies have lately been putting the resources into shutting down and prosecuting the counterfeit distributors (i.e. New Balance, Callaway Golf...)

BTW, Since China "OWNS" the old US of A, and the quality EXCEEDS American standards, whats' the problem with disclosing a name?
