  • i miss this kind of animated movies. the music is just amazing, as the story.

this movie shows us the forest as we never saw! :)

  • Damn does this song get to me...

  • this is when Disney used to be awesome!! love the movie Bambi so much!!

  • @Nejifangal1 YES!! Disney was at its best during this era. They lost the ball after The Emperor's New Groove (2001) because the movies no longer have great music, RIGHT!!!!

  • @mcomeger i agree 110%!

  • I'm only 15, and I grew up on classic Disney movies, and songs like this one and When You Wish Upon A Star make me tear up every time x':

  • i don't even understand the first line but i find it really touching.

  • ;0

  • I cry every night because I miss these movies..And I'm only 13!!!!! Looool! :(

  • HELP WANTED!!!!!!!!!

who knows this song on the piano.

    please send me tabs.

  • @OAKnSTEEL I know them,I think I will upload a tutorial in 1 month or so:)

  • @RazielManga cool thanks for that

  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Really gets me emotionally...

  • wow...didn't realize how this would make me feel as soon as i heard the first notes. *Sigh* brings back sooo many memories of childhood watching disney movies

  • i wish that this movie was made more recently so that i could actually meet the cast and crew. *sigh* :( at least we'll always have this to remember those people

  • The quality of production and animation in this film is so far above everything being made today.

  • The lyrics and animation are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

  • My FAVORITE opening song from Disney's classic movies!! :D

  • Lol, I don't think theres ever gonna be a 100,100th view

Thumbs up if your Viewer 100,099

  • These are one of those songs I never thought about when I was younger, but it is so beautifyl, I get tears in my eyes

  • I used to sing this song outloud at night at six years old :D

  • childhood in one song!

  • I love this song, it captures that classic Disney feeling that is so pure and true~*

  • This song reminds me of my dogs.

  • lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve itttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • this opening song always brings tears to my eyes!!

  • can't help but cry to this!

  • just the lyrics of the song almost bring me to tears

  • Such BEAUTIFUL lyrics and animation!!!

  • Awww... such a touchin' song, and plus the artwork is amazing too. A total masterpiece.

  • i love this song bambi is my 2nd favorite disney classic i love the music my 1st is lion king. gotta love disney.screw you hannah fagtanna. thank heaven for walt disney classics or my childhood would have sucked.

  • How can anyone dislike bambi? Those 2 people obviously don't see a classic movie when they see it. I miss the 90's cartoons :)

  • @AbraxasDalgetti Do you think this is a 90's cartoon?

  • @mandacoon when i say 90s cartoon i mean thats the type of cartoon they WATCHED then not made. Now a days we watch things like "fish hooks" and other shows which kinda dumb you down. so yeah...

  • @AbraxasDalgetti ohhh okay I understand what you were saying now, and you are completely right

  • When I was I child the Italian version of this film was with all the music in English....and now I discovered that they have translated its! O_O Awwww....my poor child memories! Y_Y

(I'm Italian, so sorry for my poor English ^///^)

  • This animation was absolutely groundbreaking. If anyone ever gets the chance, watch "The Reluctant Dragon" Its a Disney film and shows you inside the studios in the early years. You get to see how they filmed this and its just incredible. Or just look up the Multiplane Camera. Absolutely incredible stuff. If only they still made them like this.

  • I can do this song in sign language!

  • I've made sure that my two younger brothers enjoy and appreciate the Disney I grew up with. Like Lady And the Tramp, Pocahontas, Bambi, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King, and Tarzan, ect.

My younger brother loves all the princesses and Tarzan =]

I think Tangled was a great example of what talent Disney has right now. But Up was a disapointment a while ago.

I think The Jungle Book has the best animation ever. It's so soft, yet the lines are rough. Same with Bambi! =]

  • Bambi is my favourite Disney, no matter how many times I've watched it, I always cry when his mother die. I love this song very much

  • The art work for this film is amazing, it really showed off the talent that the artists had, it's a shame Disney has become so reliant on all that computerized 3D stuff nowadays. :(

  • @ViperPrincess92 I just stumbled on the credits, seeing an animator from the 1930s who was one of my friends' dad, George Rowley. Saw George do some of his amazing work & hear comments about how Walt Disney was such a taskmaster!

  • I'm very lucky I grew up with Disney <3

  • I wish kids these days would watch REAL movies like this. I'm sure if Walt saw Disney Channel he would be really dissapointed ):

  • Where is the Disney we know and love?

  • Makes me cry.

  • Thumbs UP if this song puts Justin Bieber to SHAME.

  • @HDuyNguyen Wtf, what does Justin Bieber have to do with anything ? ;;;

  • Bambi is such a beautiful movie!!!

  • This song is so pretty. Disney is so fucked up nowadays...

  • @lovehamsters14

It's not fucked up. It just appeals to the new generation.

  • @reneeanalee Well, either it is fucked up or the new generation is fucked up. Pick one.

  • Herndon, Virginia

I saw and loved the movie in the 1970s when deer stayed deep in the woods. They were rare and beautiful critters (stil beautiful).

I wonder if kids today still find the movie as enchanting now that deer are so common in suburbs at least here in Virginia. I love that the movie lacks all the noisy, streetwiseguy crap intended to hold the attention of adolescents of all ages.

  • @keouine Kids don't even know what this stuff is now. so sad

  • @keouine I'm in the NoVa area and first saw this movie when I was 5. So I think it set me up to be enchanted with deer at a young age. Even today, I get a little sad when I see a deer on the curbside.

  • This is that song man! I remember I used to cry and felt so bad when bambi mom died and he went lookin for her! It still gets me alil! Bambi was so real to me when I was lil! Man I missed those days yall!....I feel sorry for these kids nowa days they missed out on alot. It seems as though the people who make movies and shows now have no morals or they know the parents and kids have no morals or values so they feed them the dumb stuff thats on tv now. We 90's kids are blessed! God bless yall!

  • good song :)

  • I loved this as a kid (and still do), and couldn't believe this was made in 1942... That's SIXTY-EIGHT years ago! There's timeless classics for you.

  • Oh good gosh!! So many wonderful menories. I haven't cried in years till now lol very emotional! Disney is the Music King!

  • awesome

  • Check out my strings rendition of love is a song!!

  • I love singing this song! Its so cute!

  • I have a bad case of nostolgia now and could almost cry I remember how beautiful it was. my favorite memory of all.

  • so sad... I loved bambi... and I love him now.... :)

    donald novis was an artist....

  • Seriously, Disney music remains magical at all times and ages!

  • This brings back so many happy childhood memories, I used to watch this a lot of as a child. I wanted a stuffed fawn doll for so long, and got one when I was in the hospital getting my tonsils removed when I was six. I'm 28 now, and I still have that doll, it's old, dirty, falling apart and sad looking, but it has so much sentimental value and happy memories that I'm keeping it!

  • this song always makes me want to cry for some reason haha

  • You're welcome!

  • "Love is a song that never ends

life may be swift and fleeting

hope may die yet loves beautifull music comes each day like the dawn

love is a song that never ends

    one simple theme repeating

like the voice of a heavenly chior

    loves sweet music flows on"

Yaz I remembered!Loved this movie when I was little...still do much better than todays "Disney" crap.

  • movie is the best :) all the backgrounds in this where drawn by hand lovley :)

  • i remember being five watching this movie. it is so full of emotion that it makes me sometimes wanna cry. the classical music makes it that much sweeter

  • i cry everytime i listen to this. my sister used to sing this to me wen i was little.

  • i luv bambi!! this is cute song

  • i feel so warm..by listening to this lullaby.....

  • *Happy Tears* [ ;

My mom used to call me Bambi eyes when I was little, it makes looking back on this movie so emotional for me

    : ]

  • I love listening to these old Disney songs... the older movies were the best :) The new ones are pretty crappy. These always remind me of my childhood...

  • Aww... Memories! This song reminds me my childchood. Bambi was my favourite Disney movie!!!

  • bambi is my all time favourite disney film!! i had it on all the time when i was little! and i still have my own bambi and thumper toys!

  • this song makes me think of someone, and it hurts, but i love the song and the movie

  • The lyrics are so beautiful D':

  • Bambi si seriously the best disney movie of all time, except possibly LIlo and stitch and the Lion King.

  • this song brings back so many childhood memories, and so does belle notte :) thanks so much for the upload :D

    again.

  • It's really nice :}

  • Pretty :D

  • I havent seen this movie for years! Thank for posting the song!

  • I think he means he couldn't find the English version online, so he uploaded it...

Reading comprehension, people. It's a basic skill.

  • Comment removed

  • Bambi2lover, your the idiot! They posted this because they couldn't find the English version anywhere, stupid!

    Read all of the description!!

  • in germany we have to make a presentation when we are in the 10th class, and i want to make it about walt disney films in the 2nd world war. this song is one of the best examples, together with the whole film, bcause it's about life, that life is going on and that will always exist, whatever happens.

  • This entire movie is absolutely beautiful, i watched it today for the first time in years, and i never really realised. The animation is just amazing, I love its realism, and how the colours are delicate and natural, as opposed to the bright colours and cute 'cartoony' characters in disney movies today. The classics are the best =D And such a lovely song, old music just makes me so...happy. =D

  • They were only trying to point out how they prefer the old style of movies from disney. Most people to be fair watch movies for the visual effect, not for how it's done. Regardless of how it's made, I think the old style is better than the new style becuase the new films seem to mainly be the animators showing off, and not paying any attention to minor details like script, soundtrack or plot.

  • That is something low to say! The animators put a ton of work into the animals, let's see if you think they're showing off after you watch the movies!

  • That is completely untrue, if you'd actually WATCH the movie then you might see what i mean. Did you watch some bad movies in your life? I'm sorry if I sound rude but the Chronicles Of Narnia are surely spectacular movies and same with Star Wars (even tho i hate star wars).

  • i agree with you.

  • Just my humble opinion...

And I don't think it was even vaguely offensive

    So cool it.

    Jeez...

  • I love this song

  • You did a most wonderfully beautiful job~*

  • oh - how wonderful! i love this song, i love it in german too :D

  • This were one of the first disney movies I have... But this is really Walt Disney quality, and it's a shame that they don't make movies like this anymore. So timeless and made with passion and skill. I used to love this song when I was a kid, so thanks for uploading ^^

  • I have the soundtrack self...it is an great number but the lyrics are so great! 1 on the best Dinsey song but not better than "When You Wish Upon a Star"

  • such beautiful artwork! if only they would do in movies today :(! thank u for posting this!

  • This song is way better than nowadays cheesy songs- a lot of shouting and yelling nonsenses lol- this one has simple instruments, beautiful choirs and a senseful singer. Very Beautiful- I really love it! =D

  • This is (in my opinion) one of the greatest movies EVER!!!!

  • It reminds me of that year, where I was very sick and wacthed Bambi with my grandparents. That song and these pictures recall many memories and I remember I cried in a long time, after Bambis mothers dead.

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • Bambi is so sad. I remember being really scared when I watched it when I was 5.

  • i love this song

it's my favourite from the Bambi movie

    along with "Little April showers"

  • I will always love this movie. I've heard this movie didn't receive much popularity that it deserved when it was release during World War II.

  • Timeless beautiful,...

  • This song is one of the best, most memorable and most timeless songs Disney has ever come out with. It suits the movie perfectly. It is beautiful, yet sad.

  • Thank you, I like this song :)

  • i love the music in this movie, it is so beautiful and sad at the same time. thanks for uploading.
