  • holy crap dude. thats sick!

i just started glowstringing today and all i have down is the 2 beat weave and the butterfly. im not great but i hope to be as good as u lmfao

  • not gonna lie man, i tend to never watch the whole video most people post because of their lack of rhythm and they just spin them as fast as possible to trip people out, but i love ur style and the fact you dont just play a song and spin but instead go with it, looks like a visualizer. dope, to say the least

  • this is the last queston i promise where should i practice?

  • @Rayed2003 haha no worries! practice anywhere with lots of open space and free of people (on rare occasions a glowstick will fly off). i used to practice in my backyard, garage, or behind my school. keep me posted on your progress and let me know if i can help you in any way!

  • @hpiracr7 thanks for the advice man

  • also one more question if i dont wanna waste my money on buying glow sticks everytie i practice can i just use ones that are not glowing? or use something else?

  • @Rayed2003 oh right, i forgot to answer that question. I only bought nice glowsticks once, the rest of the time I bought emergency glow sticks which you can find at home depot or lowes. =P

In any case, I practiced with dead glowsticks and when it was showtime, I lit up some nice ones! the ones in the video were High Intensity Glowsticks.

  • @RandomCommenter707 lol this guy is on his way but he's still very far from good. And I have to say your taste in music sucks

  • @kyle10590 Lol I never said I like the song, and I'm just a beginner so I thought this was the most amazing thing I saw :p

  • @kyle10590 And I'm sure you are so much better, right?

  • @GreenDayFtw0 yes I am my poi channel is smithdiazpoi and I am better than this and my videos were late last year too so they aren't recent. CO has the some of the best gowstringers I've ever seen and this isn't close.

  • hate that song! but the show its awesome!

  • @MegaCinosThehedgehog lol! yeah i know....looking back on this video, I don't know what I was thinking to choose this song...

  • @hpiracr7 Man, I first remember seeing this video 2 years ago at 70 000 views. Its come a long way, and you got me into it. This song reminds me of stringing every time it plays!

  • hey dude where do u get the glowsticks?

  • @Chillirock1 i typically get the emergency glowsticks from Ace Hardware store or Home Depot. Unfortunately I don't remember which website to purchase the high intensity glowsticks.

  • @hpiracr7 can u send me a link if u remember, and are they expensive?

  • @Chillirock1 If I recall correctly, the high intensities were a bit pricier than the regular ones, but it's worth it =]

I recall typing in 'glowsticks' into Google and clicking around sites that sell them.

  • I love this!!! I remember seeing it about a year or two ago & still love it :)

  • @ElizabethCorkins thank you! =]

  • @hpiracr7 :)

  • @ElizabethCorkins I like your stringing video, I was never able to do the move beneath the legs like you do. Unchained melody is a good song choice, is that the one by DJ Mystik?

  • Dam.. that boy sure knows how to use his stick!

  • Thats awesome! im still a biginner how long did it take you to become that good and whered u learn it from??

  • @jjcollio it took me about 4 months and i learned mostly from watching others on youtube and glowsticking . com

    best of luck to you!

  • @hpiracr7 im just learning how to do glowstringing soo you say it took you about 4 months? now is thaat with practice everyday? or just on your spare time? and what do you recommend i do to help me become better?

  • @adammmstokessss I practiced every day, I'd probably say 2 or 3 hours total. for instance I'd practice while watching tv, studying, etc. I looked at other people's videos and attempted to imitate them. I also used glowsticking . com in their tutorial section

    have fun!

  • @hpiracr7 thank you so much! :)

  • Its a shame you only have one glow stringing video, cause your great man you should make some more =]

  • @dakafel thank you! i think i need to make tutorial videos instead =]

  • @hpiracr7

That'd be awesome of you =] i've been learning myself and it would make it a lot easier on everyone who's watched your videos and been inspired to start.

  • I'm not hating on this video... it's a classic when it comes to an introduction to glowstringing. But keep searching there are alot more videos out there that have alot more to offer.

  • Any tips on how to do the orbital? I've tried & tried.. -.- so far i can do moves, like the weave, 3 beat weave, butterfly, windmill but never the orbital -.-

  • this dude is sick if i didnt know better i would think that was me he does all tha same variations and combos as me except i do a few extra imma post mine soon! ill make a tutorial for all of u who wanna learn all it takes is one good night of raving and having someone who knows what there doin to show you then tha rest is all down hill from there its sooooo much fun once you learn not to mention a work out from hell!!

  • @TheTjnichols i look forward to seeing your video!

  • I wont be able to do this in a million years

  • Hahahaha I decided to start practicing with a pair of Manriki chains... Chinese martial art bashing weapon.. NOT a good idea

  • anyone know a website or something to help me start out? i need a hobby besides youtube >_<

  • 36 people thought it said dis i like

  • how do u do the parts at 0:36 it looks like the weave going infront and behind u instead of ur sides? and also the cool part at 0:44 - 0:46 seconds

  • @xChriz503 Hi! I watched your stringing video and it's amazing! I really like your orbitals! They are way better than mine

At 0:36, you need to do a regular 3 beat weave and while its in motion, turn your body 90 degrees to the right (or left) so that the weave is now perpendicular to your body. Try to maintain the motion and soon you'll be able to do it without having to turn sideways.

0:44 Not much tips here, I just practiced spinning around while doing a weave. =P

  • @hpiracr7 alright man thanks alot! oh and btw the video on my channel is a favourited video, not mine :P, but i no it is good, thou i learned most my stringing by just looking at this video! and i keep practicing and im getting better! thx alot again!

  • Do you have any advice for beginners? Like how to make a "good" glowstring and so forth?

  • @UKIRreverse Hey! I remember when I first began, I rolled up socks and tied them to the string. When you begin stringing you're going to hit yourself a lot and this method will help reduce the pain. Once you feel comfortable swinging around, you can switch to glowsticks. The length of the string will depend on your style; shorter strings are for best for wrapping, but longer strings look prettier when you do butterflies and weaves. My strings are arms length. Good luck!

  • @hpiracr7 That sock thing is a good idea. Wish I had thought about that sooner...

  • How many hours a day did you practice this

  • @Burley47 I think i practiced approximately 1.5 hours a day. However I would practice on and off. For instance, I'd swing around while watching TV. It took me about 3 months to get to where I am in the video.
