I saw his act in the Village several times many years ago and this was one of his bits. Many people didn't get him, but IMO when he was on he could be as funny as anyone alive.
First saw him on the Long John Nebel show on TV when I was a kid. He lectured on something (?) and sounded so convincing... yet unintelligible. A new kind of humor for me. Years later saw him at that 13th Street theatre a few times. My girlfriend had a deep laugh which Bro Theodore said sounded like "a chicken gining birth to a football." Miss him and Beefheart and Zappa.
He released a brilliant 45rpm single version of this, with accompanying beatnik bongos in the background. So glad this is not lost! He was the voice of Rukh in "The Last Unicorn."
