looks the same as WOW, PW, Mobinagi, and Golden eye N64, they're all garbage, graphic detail, PVP and PVM interactions on all these games needs an EXTREME overhall.. however Goldeneye N64 is an exeption. I honestly lost most of my interest in playing click2Attack MMOs... They just don't do it for me. Too boring. I am a huge console gamer and I love being hands on so a better game to me is one like Vindictus, Lunia, Rusty Hearts, etc. where you can plug in a controller and have a blast.

Though Im not saying that RoM is bad it just isn't the best out there for everyone. Although if I want to play a Click2Attack MMO Ill go back to BOI or WOI if it comes out soon :3

Yeah that may be. But those are different kinds. It's the best in the wow sort of class it's in. And guild wars you have to buy before you can play it and then yes it's free online. ROM is free from the start... Unless you do like I did and buy the disc version for 15-20 dollars and then get a code for diamonds (higher currency) and armor, a huge house and loads of furniture, a hippogriff mount and loads more...

mabinogi is the best. the graphics aren't great but it doesn't have the stupid turn based system that are in almost all mmorpgs.also it has alot of gothic/ anime-ish clothes and stuff. plus you can dual wield most one handed weapons. and they dont have to be the same weapon.

This is a great game, if you love the traditional mmo combat feel, the dual class system will blow your mind. The only issue I have with it is optimization. I've got a decent machine and run most games well over 60 fps, yet can't ever get over 30 on RoM and have to relog once an hour because it'll drop to a crawl after that. Have done a lot of research and couldn't find anything to fix it yet this video runs beautifully I would still be playing this game if I could get it to run that smooth.

ROM is kinda like WoW but it just feels laggy and stiff and it is a lot smaller. (I liked the 2 classsystem tho)

Why pay for a game? becouse the best games are made out of professional teams (aspecialy MMOs) and they require money.

But you can't just say good games cost money and bad games are free. Check out game play videos and reviews before you deside.

"free to play" mmo's will end up costing you a lot more than subscription based games in the long run (that is if you actually want to get anywhere in the game) - I've played (and paid) a lot. The production quality of many is very poor, the lore/backstory is almost non existent (removing the rpg element from mmorpg) and the grind is relentless. Don't bother playing these FTP games and wait for GW2 (which is buy once, play forever) - unless of course you enjoy the mindless grinding :)

Isn't Guildwars extremely restricted when it comes to leveling? That sounds extremely boring

to an MMO player like me, I happen to like grinding and be able to reach 130>130>130 for instance.

But what MMO's are doing now is to not reward grinding but give all the love to quest lovers,

which sucks big time.

@godverdegodverdomme I enjoy killing enemies and I do like grinding to a certain extent, but only when I want to (for a nice title, drop etc) - but far too many games absolutely require grinding to progress through the game, which becomes boring v. quickly imho. You can still grind plenty in GW (and probably GW2) - but you don't have to if you don't want to, that's my point - you have no choice in the majority of mmo's. GW2 will let you play how you want to. :)

@godverdegodverdomme games don't have to be about leveling anymore (or the "endgame") - you'll be able to enjoy gw2 right from level 1 with an epic boss encounter about 15 minutes after starting (no needless "kill 10 rats" tutorial) - just try and enjoy it and don't look at leveling as the be all and end all. Don't dismiss gw2 just because of your preconceptions about gw1 - I'm
