gears 2 has all populair gears 1 multiplayer maps including gridlock.

BUT!

you'll need a code to get them.

the code comes with the gears 2 game if you're lucky :P i got mine though.

if you die, you'll have to wait till the current wave has been completed by your team mates. when the next wave starts, you're revived with standard weapons (lancer, shotgun, pistol)

horde is a multiplayer mode.

group up with 4 other players and fight 50 waves of locust.

each wave adds a new enemy into the field.

the waves go from 1 to 10. when wave 11 starts a message will appear saying "The Horde grows Stronger!". which means they are harder to kill.

every 10th wave is the hardest wave of all.

after every 10th wave, you'll start over at the first wave which only makes you kill wretches and drones.

So far I've only played the Horde multiplayer mode so I can't really say if it's better in general.

as for Horde mode, it's an exciting and challenging mode in my opinion.

Nothing more fun then 5 players trying to survive the 50 waves that are getting harder wave after wave.
