  • Guitarists must discover the quality of "12 frets" guitars, the tone, the projection is so much better than the standard "14 frets". A small format like 000 in association with the slightly longer body of the 12 frets is for me the best !

  • sweet guitar,i think it would go well with the music i do

  • damn. one day i'll have my 00015.

  • Nice man!

  • looks like hawaiin koa

  • Very resonant,I gott'a have one!

  • yo qiero una

  • Beautiful song! I love my DM! Nothing like a Martin!

  • whats the difference between this 000-15 and the 000-15s?

  • If my memory serves me, the "S" is for Sappelle.

    I could be wrong though.

  • What is Sappelle?

  • sapele is a wood that is very similar to mahogany. It's Martin's answer to the supply flow of mahogany.

  • The 000-15S has a slotted headstock.

  • S is for "short". the neck finishs on the 12th fret and not 14 like the 000-15 version

  • The 000-15S neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a nut width of 1.25 inches (slightly wider than a typical dreadnought and slightly better for fingerstyle).

  • Sapele is a type of wood, very similar to mahogany.

Oh, and very nice playing, LJUNGWALD!

  • The 000-15s has a slotted peghead (like a spanish guitar). Both models come in either mahogany or sapele. The 's' doesn't stand for sapele. Also, the 000-15S has a wider nut (wider space between the strings).

  • i play folk music and am looking for a nice deep and dark and rich sound. do you think this is the one for me? the price hits it right on the money for my budget.

  • I don't know if you ever got an answer, but I would like one of these someday myself.

Martin makes great guitars and no two sound alike. Something lost on the likes of Taylor Guitar who endeavors to achieve and maintain a common sound between their guitars which are brighter than the Martin.

Furthermore, Martin is the Standard for a lot of folk players Bob Dylan and company played Martins.

And if you question endurance, look at Willie Nelson's "Trigger" That's a Martin.

  • Dylan played many guitars, not just Martins!

  • of course but he used martins alot,, he even used martins before he was rich and famous,, when he was playing in dingy clubs... and almost every kinda rock n roll indie band whose anyone owns a martin..

  • good sounds.

  • beautiful sound... once i save a few more bucks i'll have one of these puppies for myself.

thats a beautiful tune you have there. this guitar has incredible tone.

and for everyone who says it sounds bad for stumming, it doens't sound that great strumming because it's not meant for it! buy a dreadnaught for that. small bodied guitars sound excellent and are meant for fingerpicking.

  • You can strum a 000. I attribute the guitar's trouble with strumming on it's all mahogany construction. However, this makes the 15 series a real great fingerstyle guitar:)

Nice playing in this video, sounded great!

  • true, and the mahogany does contribute to that, but you probably wouldn't want to overload it with super heavy strumming, it usually sounds a little boxy.

  • i have a 000-15 and it plays great strummed or fingerpicked. i prefer the sound of it to the 000-15S i played.

  • Love this guitar, well used too. I find that it produces its best sound through finger picking, but gets a little muddled in strumming.

  • You got a characteristic 000-15. Yours has all the great small body characteristics but with a D-15's projection! Nice guitar, sir.

  • Very, very nice....almost sounds like the beginning of Garth Brooks "Much too Young to feel this Damm Old". I LOVE that song...and I'm only 29.

  • I searched for that video, and you are right, sounds a bit the same actually. Never heard that song before though... Thanks! :-)
