HELP! My problem is that the little circle wont get all those blue and green lines on it, like yours when you press in 'esc' and speak... I have tried changing the level in where you test speak, but it doesnt change...I was wondering if you know if there is anything i have to do or can do ?

th calibrating stuff works, though when i give the commands, like "open safari", it makes the sound that it got the command, though it won't open safari^^

Its because you already had safari opened. Try saying "Switch to Safari" Instead, then say your website.

I use the speech recognition that is embedded into Windows and it seems to work well. It is similar to this but uses different commands.

there's an optical in port on the side you just plug it in like you would with headphones... but every recent (last 5 years) mac has a built in microphone also
