  • Have you tried Daniel Stubbe of 653 Dupont Street, Toronto ? They mention "Origin chocolate bars made with region specific beans from Tanzania, Grenada, Sao Thome, Saint Domingo, Trinidad, Java and Cuba."

  • I just got back from Grenada..unfortunately, they were celebrating a Christian Holiday and the Chocolate Factory was closed when I was there!

Does anyone know if their chocolate is available here in Ontario near Toronto? It is wonderful to see what Mott has accomplished for himself and the people.!

  • Amazing story!!!! I proudly sell Grenada chocolate at my coffee house Grounded in NYC stop by and buy a bar: 28 Jane St. W. Village NYC SUPPORT REAL FAIR TRADE!

  • This chocolate is fantastic, having seen the BBC's 'The Secret Caribean', I purchased a few bars. Well worth a try - Spread the word!

  • God bless you! What a great business idea.

  • what is the song in the intro and ending? I've heard it before but would like to know the song title/artist. Beenie Man?

  • @bethedisc it's called Sunshine by Junior Kelly

  • Brilliant story! Delicious chocolate from the Caribbean.

  • What an inspiring video! Best luck, and great work.

  • Grenada chocolate factory 60% chocolate.

    The best chocolate ever :))

Just got back from Grenada. I did bought some chocolate, when I was there.

Please start export to Norway asap. I am empty.

  • I visited this little factory in August, 2002, and happened to meet Prime Minister Keith Mitchell visiting the factory that day. It's an experience I'll never forget. Nice to see the company still active after the hurricane and all of the trials the country has faced.

  • Delicious chocolate!

  • I saw this chocolate at Whole Foods in California, a supermarket frequented by many celebrities. I felt really proud to see our chocolate there (_:

  • he befriended mott when he was homeless as he did for me and let me and another good friend live with him for a year. my heart is so sad without doug here. he did so much for everyone he died of cancer.

  • the man who started this with mott "doug" was a very good friend of mine. he is the man behind the scenes and the one who made all of this possible. he passed away on sunday dia de los muertos the mexican "day of the dead" he was an amazingly kind hearted man he is greatly missed we love you douglas we will always love you. grenada will never forget you. i hope to see you again one day. r.i.p. douglas browne

  • I ordered this chocolate recently online at Chocosphere, and I have to say that it's amazing! I didn't expect it to be very good, but it's right up there with (French) Michel Cluizel chocolate. If you like dark chocolate and haven't tried this one, I highly recommend it.

It looks like a great operation too - I'm glad to see that there are still people in our world who would rather not seek fame or fortune but instead take care of other people and the environment - thank goodness for them!

  • We donate dark chocolate bars and conduct guided chocolate tastings to fundraise for non-profits in NW Wa. We provide 12 different high quality products from various producers and help the participants learn about chocolate as they taste examples of the best. The Grenada bars are consistently rated among the top three of twelve along side of other products from France & Italy that cost three times as much. G C is truely superior - a tribute to the good people that grow and produce it.

  • I'm a Peace Corps volunteer living not too far from this operation, and I can certainly attest to the fact that it is superb quality chocolate, and a finely run little outfit. Inspiring, really.

  • i just got back from grenada and went about the belmont estate and grenada chocolate co. i love the choco, especially the 71% and i'm impressed that it's certified organic. margaret at the belmont told me that the nayak family owns the chocolate co. is that true?

  • No idea, but it sounds unlikely as it's a co-op.

  • The locals say "that white guy is pretty smart" when referring to Mott. It's meant in a nice way. Grenada Chocolate isn't 1% of island GDP, but it's still important, and is a very high quality product. Try it.

  • I'll bet you're licking chocolate starfish all day you stupid goat sheila! I'm sure you're just used to the taste of your own arse eh!!! :D Have a good one, thanks for the clip. We don't get that chocolate here in Melbourne.

  • This chocolate is really one of the best tasting on the planet! Thank you Mott!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Casey Burns, Kingston WA

  • I hope the expansion really helps people and dosen't turn evil with it's wealth.

  • Great work!!!!hope to try your chocolate soon!!

  • Here's someone who's got the entirely right idea about this industry!

Also, they're helping protect natural canopy equatorial forests which ultimately will save the world! (Cacao won't survive without total respect for nature as we're finding out. There are even recently discovered local vines that provide microbial protections that have to be intact!!!)

Respect for one of the best things on the planet and financial interests might just save the rain-forests.

  • this is a really nice video, ive actually had some of the chocolate from grenada and it was really good!! delicious!!

  • OMFG im sooo hungry after seeing that! gonna go get some chocolate...

  • tomm!!where is spam?
