If red dye is hard to get out of a carpet imagine what it does to your insides. Yeesh. This must be why they say Red Dye #40 is dangerous to consume. (At least one reason anyway)

It helps but using a brush and carpet cleaner gets very similar results, a steam cleaner also does an awsome job.
