And on this video, you can see how Eric, who was there for the White Album recordings after India, and George are still good mates. Even John Lennon made an effort, you know - though he's not the best guitar-soloist in the world (apart from his music talent). But George wanted a guitar to really weep and nobody could do it better that Eric Clapton. However George should somehow implement his own thing in his song - here you're right. But this is all a rehearsal thing, I guess.

@eddogar I doubt seriously that Phil Collins thinks that. In fact, Collins has publicly praised Ringo as a great rock drummer that has long been underated and underappreciated. Their individual styles are different. Ringo's drumming is so well suited the the Beatles' music - his "forte" being the fills on songs. Collins has singled out the Fabs' 'A Day In The Life' as an example of Ringo's stellar drumming. On that I think we can all agree!
