wow people must be completly stupid to buy something like this.
1. You weighed the tomatos WITH the plate.
2. weight of anything does not give proper sodum levels.
3. You're fat

Actually, the scale is zeroed out with the weight of the plate before the tomatoes are added. And sodium levels in something, like a tomato, are consistent per gram, so weight alone can determine nutritional value.

Idiot. Most of these scales have a "tare" button which allows you to subtract the weight of the container.
2. Weight is the most accurate way to determine the caloric or nutritional content of something. After all, weight is a measurement of mass.
3. I agree, he does have a gut.
