i have "Script" and "Strange Days". im listening to selections from "What Does Anything...?" i must say "script" is my favorite by the Chameleons. "what does anything...", second place. "strange days" is quite good, but just lacks what matadorelov said: "making such amazing atmospheric dramatic loneliness inducing sounds and lyrics", hence it being my least liked Chameleons CD. just thought you all should know. so sad how overlooked they were - how many hearts could they have touched?

I remember being 16 and listening to this song over and over again on an LP that I borrowed from my friend. At that age and at that time, this song seemed almost revolutionary in its dreamy depiction of "relationships" and "sex." In fact, I think it is still revolutionary and no less interesting some twenty-something years later. Great song. Great band.

seriously this song is awesome. i cannot believe this band has managed to have been ignored during its heyday. its quite simply some of the most magical music you will ever hear. this song is just magnificent, a true masterpiece. People can have their crappy bands of today, but noone can replicate The Chameleons, or even the Comsat Angels for that matter.
