  • I am getting rid of my 40" sansung tv 120hz

to get two of this monitor specially for pc and console gaming

my question is would I'll be able to to hook up my ps3 and and see it on both screen?

  • Good review, I'm buying this screen tomorrow :-)

  • I'm having a very hard time finding an av adapter cable for the digital optical input. I'm trying to connect my gamecube to this monitor. Can somebody help me find it. thanks.

  • I have the TV version of this monitor.. and the one I have is only 50,000:1 but it works great, DVI-D or HDMI is a must when hooking up with a computer, the VGA doesn't cut it.

  • im getting this monitor in about a hour!!! so excited, cant wait!

  • i thought this monitor has a 5ms rr

  • 16:9 is for peasants.

  • Hmmm not 2560 x 1440

  • @amoghthegamer lol if you are looking for a 2560x1600 then you are looking to waste about 700 and more on that moniter.

  • @IIkronos

I spent $1000 on my CPU alone. Iam fine with dropping $700 or so on a monitor.

  • isit 3d rdy?

  • My TV is 26' the monitor doesn't look as big :/

  • Is this Vesa Compatible

  • bought two of theese a few hours ago, OMG i love em!!

  • what's that keyboard? :D

  • Can be a TV?

  • Ey guys, can someone throw me a site where I can buy this awesome monitor? :)

  • @mrflarsenf amazon.com

  • i just bought one of these

  • A monitor of this size that does not have a VESA mount is a fail.

  • ifi have an hp computer can i use a samsung monitor?

  • @SonidaMarks of course you can, lol. HP is the company that produced your computer, its not like they own all the parts inside it, they just put it all together and shipped it off to you (normally at a higher price than building it yourself..)

  • @SonidaMarks ofc lol

  • @SonidaMarks Monitors are PnP " Plug And Play " so that crap about drivers he talks about is just crap, plug it in and play, dosnt ¨matter if you have a HP or Compaq, dell anything, a computor is a computor :) buy it plug it in and enjoy, HP is one of the worst comps there is its expensive for the cheap parts they use, but it works with any screen so go ahead and buy it :)

  • I just bought a refurbished one of these on overstock and it doesn't seem to by syncing up with my macbook pro... am i missing something or is it just broken? can you help me out?

  • I just bought the Monitor/TV version. That one has TV option and build-in speakers!

    It's about 300 euros

  • theyr site says 50000:1

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As soon as you mentioned the 70000:1 dynamic contrast ratio without mentioning the static contrast ratio, I knew you had no idea what you were talking about.

  • can i use my xbox 360 slim on it using hdmi cable ?

  • it doesnt have a vga port?

  • ...but will it blend?

  • 0:42 he finally blinked!!! He's human!!!

how does it feel to blink for the 1st time, please comment :)

  • Can i hook my laptop to it and also can i hook it to a wall?

  • BenQ M2700HD is a lot better.

    but i still respect samsung

  • It's has 120 or 60hz ? it's the same with the PX2370, i still can't figure out why the fuck Samsung don't give the full specs of their products.

  • @IlCapocannonierre

he did say in the video that it is 60hz.. open ears:P

  • motherbaordsorg, do you know how to fix this with this monitor. I can't run 1920x1080p with hdmi, it only runs @ 1920x1080 with vga, i have tried with 2 different graphic cards, gtx 480 and gtx 460. Hdmi doesn't run support 1080? And when i try running the setting with the hdmi it looks really gray and blurry i have to set it to 1680x1050 so i could look decent.

  • I think you should have mentioned that there arent any hard mount holes in the back. Or is there? Didnt look like it. I really want a Samsung mostly because ive heard good things about their screen or an LG because they have really good costumer support. But i need to be able to mount it as i will use it both as my computerscreen for fps games as well as in my racing rig. Too bad.

  • refresh rate is not response time

  • Nice review but..... how does it perform with MOVIES????????

  • Great monitor i have the P277OFH its a bit newer, and has 1ms responce time instead of 2ms

  • @Sysinput I think I got the same one, I noticed 1ms instead of 2ms like this guy is saying, so I figured it must be a newer model. LOVE IT

  • @BillyBobTS I think you mean the FH version, that one is LCD and is what you say 1ms.

  • @s1gnex Emm maybe I'm reading your comment wrong but yes I got the FH version which is 1ms.

  • haha yea my bad i've read ur comment wrong :D

  • is this the same as the S27A350H in the UK?

  • What keyboard is that ?

  • dude a tip, when you talk you should angle your head slightly further down. It stops people staring up ur nose.

  • Mine had to go back, after powering off unexpectedly. In order to come back on, i would have to unplug it for a few hours, then it would work again for a while. So, had it fixed, but now the problem is back, and it is no longer under warranty. Oh well... I think the problem is in those touch buttons...

Other than not functioning, it was a great monitor. Agreed about the sharp text, plus looked great with blu rays... looked great while it worked.

  • ordered mine from newegg yesterday, $299.00 with a 10% off promo code, ends 4/21/11 !!!11

  • Nice review.I will buy it next week, hope i will not be disappointed.

  • u hav the FH version of this tv i like the HD version cuz it has a tv tunner built in(((:

  • I would just like to say that it has 70000:1 DYNAMIC Contrast Ratio... its actual contrast ratio (static contrast ratio) is about 1000:1. Which is what you should go by... not dynamic. The blacks from dynamic contrast ratio are from like... when your monitor is off... do you watch your monitor while it is off? I didn't think so. I've never seen a monitor with a static contrast ratio over 2000 or 3000 to one. So while 1000:1 is still good... but its not 70000:1, I don't even think that's possible

  • @motherboardsorg hey Elric shall i take this monitor or the lg W2753VC-PF im gaming allot and i will buy a monitor latest on Friday btv thanks man for ur grate vids!

  • Just bought one yesterday and I love it. I use it for xbox and pc and it has no response lag at all.

  • i wouldn't get a 27" 1080p monitor. i have a 24" 1080p and still don't feel like it has enough pixel density.

  • so Samsung P2770HD and Samsung P2770H have only difference in 5ms vs 2ms. The picture quality will be the same in both products ? ty for answering :D

  • Sorry but no VESA mount = FAIL...

  • @sonicvybe I Agree 100% !!!! Can you recommend me something like this monitor with a Mount ?

  • You are great at what you do, enjoy your reviews.

  • ok i cant get my monitor to give me a full screen using dvi ....any sugg?

  • You've turned the monitor to the front position from the wrong side... that will explain your cable mess.

  • the touch buttons destroyed the monitor quality... seriously its so annoying

  • bought one of theese a few days ago, OMG i love it!!

  • Could u tell what kind of settings u use for brightness/contrast/colors ? Been trying to calibrate this for half day already but I just fail :p

  • you remind me of Goldberg (wwe superstar). xd

  • D u recomend this for games?

  • Thank you for this review, very well done and much better than 3dgameman. I have at the moment the Syncmaster P2450H, I'm planing on getting one of those, should I get this one with 2ms or the P2770FH with 1 ms? Thx!

  • they should start making LED stuff, like Apple.

  • @CrazyycclowN LOL only turks & arabs like lights LMAO

    PS apple sucks

  • @mrbest20 At least you know that turks aren't Arabs lol. Makes you only 3 quarters stupid :)

  • @Bladerunner55217 well ur american touche :D

    and im swedish

    go and do some sport

  • @mrbest20 its your comment not mine :)

  • @Bladerunner55217 pa pa amerikanos AHHHAHA

  • LOL @ buying monitors at cosco.

  • THIS REVIEW DOESNT TELL IF IT ITS GOOD FOR GAMERS, BECAUSE

THE OUTPUTLAG OF "2 MS" IS NOT SO IMPORTANT FOR GAMERS, ITS THE INPUTLAG !!! ALSO THE TESTED OUTPUTLAG FOR THIS MONITOR IS AN AVERAGE OF 23 MS, SO GHOSTING CAN HAPPEN WHEN LOTS OF MOVEMENT IS ON SCREEN. FOR YOUR INFO, INPUTLAG IS THE DELAY WHICH HAPPENS WHENEVER YOU MOVE THE MOUSE OR PRESS A BUTTON. LCD MONITORS WILL SHOW THE MOVEMENT OR BUTTONPRESS OFTEN ONLY AFTER 20 MS OR MORE, COMPARED TO AN OLD CRT MONITOR WHICH HAS 0 MS DELAY

  • @budojon Fuck dude do you have to scream at us? It's REALLY annoying WHEN PEOPLE TYPE MESSAGES IN CAPS BECAUSE IT MAKES PEOPLE READ IT AS YELLING AND ITS OFFENSIVE AND I DON'T WANT TO READ YOUR FUCKING MESSAGE OR CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY SO FUCK OFF WITH THE CAPS OK PALLLL!? FUCK!

  • i have the p2770hd and i cannot get it to fill the full screen it only fills 25 inches of the screen. is there anything i could do or change to fix this?

  • control panel on the monitor fucking sucks, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, it just sucks

  • i wish it had more hdmi's :/

  • My 23'' looks bigger than yours !

  • You run your GFX card in DVI not hdmi???

  • what is the difference between this and P2770HD ?

  • is the stand steady? i have heard it is a little wiggly?

  • hey what is the brand of your keyboard ?

  • What a noob review, seriously.

  • @moepza Meh.. I got what I needed from it.

  • which one to buy

    P2770H or P2770HD or P2770FH

    please help

  • Is that really 27 inch?

  • Thanks for this review. I bought one :).

  • @GamingDouche no this is not a good monitor for a ps3 because this has no speakers ad you cannot attach your ps3 to a monitor/tv WITH other speakers!

I say go for the Samsung P2770 HD this is exactly the same as the one he reviewed, except it has build-in speakers and a TUner!

    Hope this helps!

  • @jakentos but it has audio output does it mean i can use headphones with it?

  • how is this monitor for gaming? sutch as EvE Online and Black OPS.? I have a samsung 22" now that iam happy whit. but i want to go bigger. please reply me. Thanks

  • is this a good monitor if i want to connect it to my ps3?

  • @Netrex44

    Unless you have a Mac.

FH does not work with Mac

  • can u turn off the red coloring around the monitor? sux when all the rest of ur lighting is blue >.<

  • people really dont want 120 hz for the 3d they want it for FPS games. theres a reason alot of competitive fps players are still on crt :/

  • @xburial

60 or 120hz in a LCD has nothing to do with refresh rate. Its not the same as with a CRT monitor.

  • @paltcoma

"Hertz" is the number of times an image on the screen get updated per second. So if the screen is 120Hz, that means, the image is getting refreshed 120 times a second.......

  • @xburial

Thats how it works in a CRT monitor. NOT in a LCD monitor.

A LCD moitor does not refresh the same way a electron cannon sweeps from top to bottom.

120Hz LCD monitor is a sales pitch more than anything else.

  • @paltcoma

are you speaking from personal expierience? because i use a 120hz crt, and ive used an 85 hz lcd next to a 120hz lcd at a lan and the 120hz lcd looked much smoother, about in par with a 120 hz crt. sales pitch or not they perform the same as 120 hz crt..

  • @xburial

But the 120hz is not a measure of how fast the refresh rate is whan talking about a LCD screen.

When buying a LCD you should spend more time looking at wich type of panel the monitor has eg TN, IPS or TWA than looking at the HZ.

A CRT moitor has a electron cannon that sweeps from top to bottom at 50-100hz lighting up the pixel elements in the screen. An LCD pixel does not turn on and off the same way so there is really nothing to refresh. Refresh rate in LCD is measured in ms

  • @paltcoma

then why does the entire competitive fps community regard 120 hz LCD's very highly?

  • @xburial

Im not saying 120hz is bad. Im just saying its not everything.

Its more a sales pitch than it is an important technical feature.

And almost all 120hz monitors have cheap TN panels. chaep and good response time but worse picture quality and colors than tor example an IPS panel.

  • @paltcoma

    for fps it is everything..

  • @Netrex44 LED is just the lighting technology behind the lcd in contrast to the traditional CFL Lighting..

  • Will it match up with a 27in iMac

  • "They use an A panel witch means there are not going to be any dead pixels"

This is totaly wrong. A and C panels are not even made by Samsung thay are made by 3rd part manufacturer

    S=Samsung A= AU Optronics C=Chimei Optronics

A and C is more likely to have dead pixels. About 10 in 100. And Samsung warranty for dead pixels do not apply for A & C panels, at least not in many European countries.

  • Hey Motherboardsorg!

i'm think i'm going to buy this to my gaming PC but i'm a little worried about 27" will be good to play on? like high grapichs game is it good quality and stuff? and witch one should i pick if i'm gonna play games on it? Samsung P2770H 27" or the Samsung P2770HD27" ??? witch one is best for me?? sorry for my english plz send me a letter to this account if you can help me

    Kristian.

  • Samsung really do make good monitors

  • wow that is really great man

  • Does it put out alot of heat? Thats important to me!

  • I just bought a p2770, I saw the same monitor from other place, the panel's lamp will be automatically switched off when we don't press it, and will be turned on when we slide our finger on it. But mine is glowing all the time, is it ok? how can I set it to turn off automatically?.

  • Albert,

I am sorry but your reveiw lacks major details you brush over the details and completely miss others - in other words it comes across as if you don't know what your talking about.

How about brightness, contrast ratio, display color 16-million? Pro's ver Con's? any issues with the piano black reflecting back everything in the room and vesa mounting options?

Sorry dude but that was a poor excuse for a reveiw!

  • Nice video, thanks.

I was considering the 2770HD but as I dont use it for tv

the 2770H is better (as I found out on inet)

  • Hey im a gamer and im looking for a new monitor. My computer is a HP computer that i have put into a new case and upgraded the graphics(GTX 460) it has a 750 power supply so no worries there.Im upgrading my monitor(20 inch) too something that is 27+ inches. Now this monitor seems like the best one too me but will it actually use the full abilitys of my graphics card because of the low hertz? or should i look into something else. What do you recoomend for me(Mind the price 400$ is all i have).

  • Hi Good Review But I Have A Question Will I Be Able To Add A Speaker System Using The Optical Port

  • No new technology !

  • is 27" too big to sit as close as you are in this video?

  • Is text and stuff sharp?

  • Today you need 120Hz, 60Hz sucks for gaming.

  • Great review. Awesome HD quality to your videos really drew my attention. Definitely subbed. :)

  • Hi do you know if it has a fan inside?

  • @shnehal3926 If you can cough up 5000$ you can buy the Alienware tri-screen, and the screen is seamless. Just isn't out yet.

  • Dude i just wanted to wrestle you when you totally didnt do this review in your uboxing video! Sheesh

  • hi guys!! Just a questiont: it is better the samsungp2770h or the iiyama B2712HDS?And what about the input lag? I'm a gamer.

    Thanks!

  • bull crap. contrast ratios can't be tested using a industry wide standard. and this ia TN panel. ppl who do color correction don't use TN. they use IPS, which costs more because it is much better.

  • nice review!

  • Thanks for this video, answered every question I had before buying it. 1080p should become the standard for movies and games going forward. Great value for PC users it's got every feature you need and nothing extraneous like speakers and a TV tuner. Your video looks great on this monitor by the way :P

  • where can i buy this and how moch is it?

  • How's the tilt on it? And is it sturdy? Because it seemed wobbly.

  • thanks god im not american lol

  • It`s really cool to have a monitor this size,16:9 aspect ratio,2ms response time....

Too bad it doesn`t have 2560/1440 like apple imac or the next to be released 27" cinema display,LED instead of LCD and i think it doesn`t have vesa mount.

  • can it be mounted?

  • who,s got the feeling to that monitor and pick it an trow in in his face while he is waving hi,s both arms

  • you use a DVI not HDMI for a review??? I ve heard text is clearer with DVI... is that why u use this plug in a review?

  • @71GA PC video card standard is DVI, so he may not have a HDMI out.

Also, HDMI is just DVI with audio carrying ability. The video quality is identical.

  • its actually a 75hz refresh for this monitor.

  • The Viewsonic 27" monitor beats this one.

  • u got me convinced :)

  • nice

  • Nice monitor, i own one of it.

i was wondering if you could make a video of these type of monitor in eyefinity setup?

i am planing to purchase 2 more of these monitor, but i am not sure if i would like the gaming experience, since these monitor have thick bezel.

    Thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • What kind of DVI this monitor support? DVI- D,I, or A?

  • @shnehal3926 Its an unboxing not assembly video my man,, relax...

  • @motherboardsorg Thats not what it says on the title it says its a review - right?

  • @motherboardsorg haha , I wish we where all kicking it in person and you tell him that lol :)

  • I have the B2430H, has the same specs as this except it has a 5ms response time in a 24 inch form factor, it's great!

  • lol 1920 *1200 and a 120Hz refresh rate was exactly what I was hoping for :'(

  • stop saying "youtube land"

  • @CruelQuertos

But that's where we are?! lol

  • Thanks for this review, was looking at getting this monitor. Do you have access to any of the new 24" LED's by Samsung?

  • my 4890 will die trying to project images on this...

  • Nice review! Looks like a great monitor!

  • :-)

  • What keyboard is that?

  • @ljscott1990 Thermaltake Keyboard, i have a video review of this coming next week.

  • @productfeedback Not of that model you dont its a non production sample Mr...

  • 16:9 is better for movies because 1920x1080 is the native res but 16:10 is better for gaming because that wee bit extra resolution from 1920x1200 gives you just that much more desktop real estate.

  • Good video, I already have a 22" LG LED Flatron which I love and it's 1920x1080 aswell(I know that 5" in monitor size makes quite a bit of difference =/) if I didn't already have that then this monitor would have my attention.

I like the red trim on this monitor(mine has a purple one haha =P).

    Keep making good vids =)

  • LED BACK LIT

  • can you review a LED tv? thanks

    what is the price?

  • yea but it should be 2560x1440

  • Ooo my monitor! Samsung

  • Hi Elric! My dad planning to buy a new HDTV,our options are sony klv40-ex400 and samsung la40c530....i recommend my dad samsung but he think that sony bravia is better!which HDTV is Better out of both these models???

  • Excellent review!

  • the toslink is for sound out my friend sound comes from the DVI&HDMI AND BACK OUT THE TOSLINK TO THE SURROUND SYSTEM !!!
