Ovechkin won it because he was the most consistent and probably would've won the Art Ross had he played the entire season like Malkin. Godofwar Even Though I am a huge pens fan and attend the games regularly, I have to disagree with Ovechkin being a choker. He played great and almost carried the caps to the conference finals (thankfully he didn't). Although there are certain things i don't like about him, I nor anyone else can doubt his unbelievable skill and impact in any game. It wasn't the goal, much as the redemption, this is the game that Darien Hatcher took a cheap shot at Sid and knocked out 3 of his teeth, but Sid came back and won the game in overtime, not his best goal from that season, but meaningful I'd guess! :)
Well Ovechkin was actually first entry pick in the 2004 draft at age 18, they wanted him in the 2003 draft but he was two days short of the cut-off date 9/13, he was born 9/15. Crosby was drafted when he was 17 because the season didn't start until after he turned 18 on 8/7 during the 2005 draft. So we'll leave it at this Crosby is better overall no competition but Ovechkin has so much sweeter goals.

Of course he does hog the puck to make up for this and seriously has at least 25%-50% of the shots from Washington. I do admit that he does have a good shot when accurate, but Sidney Crosby is an all around player. He is a team player and passes the puck. He is more of a playmaker than Ovechkin.
I think they are both pretty even.

Ovechkin can take the puck from one end of the ice to the other and score a beautiful goal, but couldn't pass it six feet to save his life. Crosby has sick hands sick speed can set it up like nobody's business and is modest to boot, ovechkin is an amazing player but is arrogant and a little overrated

Very stupid comment, ovechkin shoots when he has the chance, and that is, (if you watch him play) all the time, since he has incredible speed. 14.1% and 10.5 isn't that different, and, i'd take ovechkin over crosby in my team anyday. Don't get me wrong, crosby is amazing, but ovechkin is a beast!

Crosby's never lost a fight because he's never actually fought someone. He grabbed two people by the shoulders and shook them like a rag to prevent any punches from being thrown and protect his pretty-boy face. Ovechkin can hit hard and take hits. Plus, he never cries or complains about it like Cindy Crosby.

he fought ference, the other ones were not really fights, crosby just whipped them around. last week against boston, savard challeged him to a fight, crosby went to the bench, took his visor off, came back out and savard pussed out. no one wants to fight crosby, because there would be so much shame if someone lost to him. crosby almost never gets knocked over. he complains b/c he's passionate about the sport. ovechkin loves attention more than 87. im not bashin OV, im fans of both.

It's like the argument back in the 90's about Mario and Wayne, and Crosby, is much like Wayne in how he knows the ice like the back of his hand and knows everything, at all times. Alex and Mario are simular in that they are really good with the puck but don't have the redic. awarness that Crosby and Wayne have, and last I checked, Crosby was beatin ovechin in points, and assist. And i know Ovechkin has the most goals, but any player will tell you that that isn't everything. Unless they're mean:)

It wasn't the goal, much as the redemption, this is the game that Darien Hatcher took a cheap shot at Sid and knocked out 3 of his teeth, but Sid came back and won the game in overtime, not his best goal from that season, but meaningful I'd guess! :)

Well Ovechkin was actually first entry pick in the 2004 draft at age 18, they wanted him in the 2003 draft but he was two days short of the cut-off date 9/13, he was born 9/15. Crosby was drafted when he was 17 because the season didn't start until after he turned 18 on 8/7 during the 2005 draft. So we'll leave it at this Crosby is better overall no competition but Ovechkin has so much sweeter goals.
