i COULD care less what alot of MMA fans say, Alistair Overeem will always have my respect b/c he steps into other guys sports & FIGHTS them. When Badr Hari an Bonjasky were the best kickboxers in the world, and Overeem hadn't had a kickboxing fight in over 10 years, he challenged both of them and won. Ppl can laugh at him for saying he wants to fight the Klitschkos, but their is not a single UFC heavyweight that would even consider kickboxing Badr or Boxing Vitali. Overeem = future UFC champ

@Raginmonky it was banned, but in MT fighters can exchange knees in the MT clinch as much as they like until they deadlock themselves , this was never allowed in k1as much as i know, however the new rules make even more sense in the HW class, the fights got more agressive and smaller guys have more chances against roid giants!

@hellishsweetness No your wrong about that, it's FORBIDDEN to knee WHILE grapping an opponent with two arms around the neck (that horrible knockout against Texeira from Overeem), so yeah you can make knees but only by single handling an opponent.

@Bi3berhole69 i love the thai clinch, but in K1 they do not want prolonged clinch battles, but rather more strikes from the outside. allowing double handed clinches would encourage clinch wars and really slow down the action in terms of strikes thrown. it would make it too subjective on when to break clinches if a fighter wanted to throw combinations of knees. Thatbeing said, I do think that you should be allowed to throw one knee with a double handed clinch, but I also enjoy the fast pace of k1
