@anhandfulofdust This is actually Folk Metal... The Folk part of it means that the music has inspiration and styles from folk music... By Folk music I mean the music that your nation owns, not to be confused with, for example, Celtic Metal which is a subgenre inside Folk Metal... Orphaned Land could be called "Middle-eastern Metal", but it would be Folk Metal anyway.

Same thing for the Berber's and many other groups in North Africa. They were all conquered by the Muslim Arabs and culturally assimilated by them, but they are not "Arabs" in the genetic / ethnic sense.

As an example, my wife's family are Moroccan Jews. There are also: Egyptian Jews, Syrian Jews, Iraqi Jews, Libyan Jews, Algerian Jews, Iranian Jews ( not really Arab but thrown in anyways ), etc... They are the "Arab" Jews...

They were born in Yemen, talked Yemenite Arabic and basically were very similar to the local population. But they are NOT Arabs, by ethnicity. They are Jews/Hebrew/Israelite. Very few are the Jews from Arab countries who really intermarried and are part Jews part Arabs.. (Judaism is not only a religion, it's also an ethnicity, unlike any other religion.)
