I don't want to speak for hunter but I assume he probably, initially would have been happy that a black man was finally elected president and the GOP was defeated after 8 years of hell. However, I doubt whether HST would have been overly optimistic about the progressive "change we can believe in" vibe, unlike the majority of kool aid drinking Americans who were swept up in a wave of euphoric extacy.
