Kako srpska svadba, kakvi Srbi? Poamerikanili se. Nema tu nista od srpstva. Ne govori niko svoj jezik. Izdajice!
THis is a beautiful Serbian Orthodox Wedding. Than youfor sharing.
Baljci is a moron. I believe Baljci wants to see a Serbian Wedding. Churchs in the US have pews, not "stools", we don't have a "Pope" we have priests, finally it doesn't matter what music is played. I attended a wedding in serbia where they played the music but no one knew how to dance. Thankfully they had the Serbs from the US to teach them.
@TataIlija Come on... Serbs who live in USA are too weak to return to their homeland and help it, because they are spoiled and like American standards. Serbs in USA are forgetting their own language, and their children are getting married for Americans, and they are being assimilated.
It means the ceremony is conducted in the Serbian Orthodox fashios. It doesn't say that its a serbian wedding. PS- Beautiful, best wishes to the couple.
not that bad, i read ppl's comments and honestly i cant say i agree with some of you. this is a serbian wedding. not all of us have the chance to play serbian music at our weddings, and of course if 80% of your friends are NOT serbs, why would you play serbian music?! i believe these ppl were all born in the usa, their friends are pure americans, so thats why they americanized it :)
sorry people, i was born in raised in germany and i do live here, nevertheless i speak serbian fluently and have not forgotten where i come from. due to the title of this video people know that it was a Serbian wedding, otherwise you wouldn't know. i didn't here ONE word in serbian, "MAmbo mambo" but no kolo??? sorry, there is nothing serbian about this !
The church choir was singing in Slavonic. This was a Serbian Orthodox Wedding. We allknow serbian weddings are done in court they on't go to church unless it is Christmas or Easter.
This is not the serbian orthodox tradition, this is Americanized tradition. First, we don't have stools in the church. Second, pope was supposed to speak SERBIAN? Third, wheres KOLO or mars na drinu, at the wedding, like comee onn. I give her props for trying...i guess. Nice couple and wish you all the best. But don't put Serbian orthodox wedding, when its not.
(1) It's St. Steven's Serbian Orthodox in Alhambra, CA. The priest does his services only in English, and this is becoming a more frequent thing in California, as well as the west coast. I feel you man and so do most of my Serbian friends, I wish more priest's would start doing their services in Serbian (or Church Slavonic).
(2) There are very few Serbian bands on the west coast, my band being one of those few. And I guess to save money they didn't hire one, but I also agree with you on that point that there should be some tradition upheld with music. So maybe a CD or something would have been nice for the entrance.
Great video of the wedding though, don't know the people but I wish them the best of luck!

traditionally don't women cover their hair in Orthodox Church during liturgy? Has this custom come to an end? If so when did it fade out?
