One of my favorite shows of all time! It's one that I can really relate to on a personal level having been brought up in a football town where the world revolves around high school football. It brings me to tears knowing that people can watch this show and be moved by it and see just how inspirational football can really be. Friday Night Lights is honest god what high school football is really all about.

Season 2 is the only FNL season that falters almost completely. Season 3 was fantastic. Season 4 had some great, great moments. The cast changes didn't really hurt the show much, and now it's finishing strong.

It's one of the great shows, no matter how little attention it seems to actually get,.

I can honestly say that any one that doesnt like this show never cared or participated in high school football. There is nothing like being under the lights in front of hundreds of people with all eyes on you. Its an amazing feeling and this show captures every bit of the excitement, as well as all the sad moments that actually happen. This show is the perfect show and the best show seasons 1-5 that has ever taken place. Its a sad thing for this amazng show to end.

I only discovered FNL about a month ago. In that time I have watched seasons 1 through 4. And a couple of episodes of season 5. What an awesome show!

I don't watch much TV, because there is not much worth watching. I fell in love with this show and its characters. I cried many times while watching because you connect so well with the characters. Knowing that season 5 is the last is like knowing one of your friend's is going to die. There is a sense of impending loss.

I remember everything that high school football meant to me. I'm a freshman in college now but it doesn't compare to the experience I had in high school. My love in high school was football, watching the guys i loved and adored suit up and play underneath those lights. Watching them give the game everything they had, their heart and soul. My best friend was the qb and when he died the next summer, i remembered him in his glory. "McCulley with another touchdown!" This song really hits home..

Out of the four seasons thus far, season 3 is my favorite; I'm surprised more people don't think so, too. The scene where Tyra's mom told her that she WAS worth something and that she was going to make something of herself - had me in tears. Coach Taylor helping Smash go to college. Jason and Tim's goodbye. Landry and the giving tree! Coach Taylor getting fired.

Season 4 is good too, though. Masterful new character transition. VINCE and LUKE were great; the girls were a little weak for me.

The first season of FNL was definitely one of the best of any show. I do agree that it slipped a little in season 2, (murder cover-up, i'm looking at you...) but season 3 was better, and this season was great. What I like the most is that this show is real. People move on with their lives, and even though I hate when characters leave, that's what happens in real life. I'm really looking forward to the season finale even though I wish the season was longer. I think it's going to be a good one.

Season 4 is actually fairly impressive in its exploration of race, economics, education, and football. Reducing it to "ghetto trash" is ignorant. Why do you think certain people play football? Its a way to get away from broken homes, streets, and drea,s. I feel the show is regaining its footing, after being hemmed in by the writers strike.

Season 3 had some of the best moments of the show to me: Riggins in Mexico, Streeter going to NYC, the dilemma at quarterback, the dilemma at head coach, it was the best season ever. Plus, come on, it had that scene with Rigo and the meth dealer talking about how fucking cool Roadhouse was--that was genuis!
