@savagecub - the fact is that when you do this exercise straight on you get more hip flexor work than abs. The way to really contract the mid abs is to turn say only 10 degrees to right or left - which you cannot do on this, but can on the Ab Coaster. Also, you can vary it to 15, 20, up to like 35 degrees either way to target many areas of obliques. Sorry, the "different shape" of the arc is a weak argument for this thing. If you bought it and like it, great. At least you are exercising.

Sure, the arc of this machine has a different shape than that of the ab coaster and I can feel a more intense contraction of my abs than I do on the Ab coaster. My spare bedroom is my workout/gym room. The Crazy Abs is lighter and much easier to move out of the way when I need to use the room for guests. While I agree the obliques do not get worked as well on the crazy abs for $100 dollars less I am VERY okay with that.
@savagecub - can you tell us why? This has no swivel base to get any real contraction in the obliques. It looks like the swivel handles do nothing really. Even if they did, the question "why" begs unless you are associated with this product.
I have an Ab Coaster and also use the one at my health club. This is a very cheap looking piece of crap that first of all does NOT do the same thing because the swivel handles will not work the obliques like the original. The arc is not right either - so it won't produce a proper crunch. And...there is no pads to rest the elbows so there is too much strain with arms/upper body. And finally.......there is NO difference between one who copies a product vs. Bernie Madoff.
@iceoffire20 - you're welcome...I was so incensed by this that I checked out the current price on the Ab Coaster - it is now only $248 so you don't have to settle for a piece of crap marketed by a ripoff that wants to ride on ACoaster coat tails - who has no ideas of their own that don't SUCK.
