What is the argument, we can't implement new pollution standards now because American manufacturers are having a tough time? When exactly is the right time to start? Somebody needs to bite the bullet and take the first step. Morocco, Mexico, and Asia will clean up their act when their citizens start dropping ill. Or maybe the U.S. should have signed the Kyoto treaty for worldwide pollution standards. Pollution is associated with cancer, birth defects, you-name-it.

The right time certainly is NOT during a recession. We need to have alternative fuels in place...like nuclear energy...or clean coal. We need to use our resources wisely to stimulate the economy and work on other alternatives.

Good Speech:)  He's my congressman, I'll vote for him as long as he's pro-gun, he needs to be less war minded though, this permanent war mindset that the Fed has will bankrupt this country faster than the Cap and Trade. He is right, we don't need a tax to get America running more efficient, we need big government to get out of the way. I like the Alternative plan that would reward ingenuity and performance.

I just don't get it. We're in terrible shape economically, and the fools in Congress want to make things inconceivably worse. The same principle seems to apply to everything else. If we're spending too much, let's spend another few trillion here or there. What has happened to this country?!? Thank God for common sense from people like Congressman Manzullo. His take-down of Timothy Geithner on TARP was one for the ages.
