Yeah! charged!! I did something similar, spliced a 12 volt car charger with a usb cable because it was no longer working in my car. White n Green wires are not used. thanks!

it will work with any type of charger but do NOT use anything that plugs into the wall to directly charge a battery.

@cheder92 can i use this to turn on my phone without a battery if i put the wires directley on the prongs that the battery connects to inside the phone, i just got an evo 3d but they forgot 2 send the battery and theres no batterys that fit it anywh in town and i wanna play with it so bad lol, my epic battery has 3 prongs like more, but the evo 3d has 4

the third prong is a sensor for charging. just use positive and negative. its clearly labeled on the battery.
