  • Yeah thats great. Love your videos . Keep it

  • @Polediamond Thanks!

  • interesting, I dont think I have ever seen anger taken out on the pole like this. I hope you felt better after that, keep up the impressive practice!

  • @inversiongirl1029 Thank you! It was a good workout...now I'm trying to remember what it was I was angry about when I did the video! ...lol... /joel

  • Go Joel! I know that move as the scissor climb! Not an easy trick to learn! Nice work!

  • Go Joel!!!! That is what I have known to be the scissor climb! Nice job!!! Not an easy move to learn.

  • @poledancer2 Thank You!

  • aw Joel!!! I just love how you bring so much humanity to your poling and videos!!! chin up!!

  • @shellpole Thanks, Shell...it was just one of those days! I'm a much better mood today. I was actually a little upset because so many stalkers (or just plain jerks) have been harrassing the women who pole on facebook. Some have stopped posting pics and vids and it is kind of sad.....

  • wicked job on this video !!! That spider climb is a killer ... love the work you do !! Always rember that you rock , poling is the best way to release anger ;)!!!

  • @lolapoledancer1 Thank you Lola! Yeah, I was having a pissy day that day! Hey, I was just checking out your latest fashion shoot for Bad Kitty...that was some GREAT work!

  • @Poledancefan you are very welcome !! And thank you joel !!

  • OMG Joel swears!!! j/k We're all entitled to our bad days and what better way to rid yourself of your frustrations than poling it out! :D

  • @Trena543 Yeah, it was one of those days!!

  • Joel, I'm so so so inspired by ur 'anger' poleout! I've been dying to try this move, and u've given me the courage to do so!

  • @michquahyoga Definitely give it a try, Michelle! The only tricky thing about it is remembering that you actually "flip" from being an invert on one side...to the OTHER side. So you have to make sure the hand that reaches out and over is placed on top to be in the right position for the next aerial invert. It's a great workout...very exhausting!

  • ~lolol ~ You make me laugh :-))) soooo adoreable you are!! If I lived where you do I would have you give me pole lessons! Truly as others say, your very, very inspiring & good to learn from because you have such precise & correct execution on your moves!! Your awesome Joel :-))) Keep up the great pole work, you know I am fan of yours!!

  • @PoleHeatherNicole Thank You HeatherNicole...well, I think I don't really have any pole skills....but I make up for it with lots of energy. You are an angel--thank you for being so sweet and supportive. It really means a lot to me! /joel

  • aww Joel..get your frustration out on that pole. you did a great job :)

  • @CrazySamantha0214 Yeah, it was a very irritating day. Actually, what was getting me down was how a couple of the ladies have more or less been chased off facebook or harrassed by jerks and morons and/or stalkers. So we can't all appreciate each other's stuff because a few A**holes screw it up for everybody. There is still that assumption we are all disreputable, so we have to hide out from what we like to do. I was just pissed about it. Sorry for my bad language!!

  • @Poledancefan Yeah I no I have them on my facebook too. I just erase them and just ignore. Everyone who don't no me well ask me if I'm a stripper and all that and its so irrigating but anymrore I just don't care anymore. Us pole dancers have to stick together :)

  • its sounds like youre having sex!!!

  • @ThePoleDude LOL, Mason...no...I was just winded. Actually, I have been sick with Bronchitis for over a month now. We have some weird respiratory thing going around Chicago. My daughter has it now...she's coughing up a lung and taking Zithromax. It is not really debilitating, but the cough just hangs around for a month. I am almost over it now! Anyway, these circus climb sets are a PERFECT practice move because it forces alternating LEFT/RIGHT aerial inverts. Man, it KILLS you--great workout!

  • thats amazing work joel, we did that exact thing in class on wednesday, and its hard to do it once, let alone over and over like you just did. loved it xx

  • @thatlarawoman It's a great conditioner because each Rep forces you over to the alternate side. Left/Right/Left/Right. I kept messing up the "TOP" hand placement in the camera takes and by the time I got a good movie I was about to pass out!!! For some reason, I always forget to reach over and get the same arm as the same leg in the top position for buddy grip in the air invert. I am TOTALLY pole stupid. I can look at somebody's film a hundred times and still not figure out what to do!!

  • Don't let those morons get you down, we all get hecklers on our pole-vids. Sometimes we get the "just-so-you-know" assholes, and sometimes it's the flat-out "you suck" assholes. Guaranteed these people would RUN if they ever came face to face w/ you though, you're lookin' pretty buff Joel! Aside from that, I've always viewed you as a masculine poler and masculine polers are more about the physicality of pole than the dance. Nothing wrong w/ that in my opinion, I am in awe of your abilities. =D

  • @SerziQ Thanks, Serzi. I am not all that bothered by comments I get personally...but I have become very upset and discouraged that some of the ladies have left the on-line pole community or stopped posting because of stalkers and/or people at their work assuming they must be hookers or sex workers just because they pole. It's demoralizing because for a lot of us w/o studio access, the only way to make pole "social" is via on-line community. Just like always, a few idiots spoil things for us!

  • Good job Joel, that outside leg climb is a tricky one, I always had trouble with it because my hand would constantly get pinned under my knee lol. Yes! Continue anger bangin the pole and it will come to you :-)

  • @Keiloces Thank You, Hope. It's so funny, because while I can appreciate the artistry watching OTHER people's videos, I have ZERO ability to transfer observation to my own pole work. I watched Crystal's vid over and over, never understanding that you are switching from L to R as you climb and flip, climb and flip. Then it took me another hour to figure out how to get the proper hand on top to always be in "Buddy" grip for the next cycle. Either way, it was a good workout at least!

  • I had forgotten all about this type 'climb' ... is that what you call it? Anyway, I've not long got the climb to invert, so I feel this is my next challenge, you rock the pole doing this Joel, awesome dude...... you inspire my next practise tomorrow night

    1. Acceptance means there is no innovation, where would this globe be without the folks who 'think outside the box'

    2. A**holes are a necessity in life, without crap in this life ('scuse the pun) we wouldn't look so good hahaha

  • @Ange70x I learned it from Crystal's facebook video and I can hear the ladies in the background talking and calling it the "circus" climb. But I think they call it the Gemini climb also. I like the comments you left--they give me something to think about!! Thanks for being so positive and encouraging!

  • I like the song, what is it?

    Is it by Vanessa Carlton?

  • @ilovevan Yes, it is Vanessa Carlton. I love her voice! It's called San Francisco. It wasn't an entirely random choice. We went on vacation there and it was such a great time--in contrast to the drag of returning to work, lol! In a very very loose way, the song is connected to what was on my mind--the difficulty of enjoying pole and separating it from other aspects of our lives, because people get the "wrong impression" I know that this doesn't make any sense...I was just in that kind of mood!

  • NO SAD FACE!! There is no way I could do what you do- even if I can dance or not. Keep up the good work and I admire your passion. Isn't that what it's all about? Don't lose your courage. Your videos are inspiring.

  • @a4rodite Thank You!! I get so much encouragement from reading these comments!

  • First, Love the gemini climbs! I've tried that before and it's HARD! Vent, Vent, Vent and if that doesn't work, Holler at one of your many many pole buds and we'll find the culprit and stomp them..... Pole arms reach far and wide!

  • Awesome gemini climbs!! Takes so much strength and stamina! Hope your frustration goes away quickly. xoxo

  • Way to put that energy to some good practice. I can't invert on my opposite side, I've been wanting to learn this climb ever since I first saw it though. Maybe next time I am angry I will try it. :) I hope that whatever it is resolves quickly.
