Are you sure the CG on the DVD didn't stand for Corporate Geniuses or Cool Generators or something like that? I have seen all of the Pixar movies - the Cars and Nemo and Toy Story and in those movies even though things looked almost perfectly real you could kind of tell they weren't, but that video of the music factory looks too real to be done in a computer. I wonder if they make the instruments there? or the balls? I really hope someone can post a link to the factory I would like to tour it.
It's not a real factory! It's computer animated! The company uses a software that makes MIDI signals/notes trigger animations, eg. the ball hitting one bell and falling into a hole.
oh I see, so the computer is what animates the machinery and controls it so it is so precise that it can create that music while it is making the balls? Probably people would like their jobs better if they worked in a factory where the machines make music while it is doing the work. This is probably in sweden or somewhere
The company is actually is Austin Texas. And the machines are not real. They are like cartoons. Computer animated. Do a youtube search for "future retro" and "aqua harp". They are made by the same person.
I thought they had a lot of cheap labor in Texas, I wonder why someone would spend so much money on such sophisticated equipment... that is cool though I can't wait to see how they make the harps.. maybe I can go for a trip to Austin and take a tour. IT definitely look unreal!
this is most definantly CG it was on DVD and it says that it is computer generated on there, if you ever get the DVD with it, it had several others too, all very very good, there is one with some CG electrical arcs but in my opinion this is the best of them all
Ouch, my brain, someone thinks this is real? XDXD But it is very good, the music makes me so happy. I wish it wasn't so pixely because of youtube though~
It is not real. It is clearly CG. Think Pixar... You can do almost anything with a computer nowadays. Whoever made this was an extremely talented individual at creating CG... I'm VERY impressed. @.@
No I'm pretty sure that is actually real... somethings you just can't do with a computer. I would like to tour this factory. Do you know is it in the US?
This is fun when you're high

Would prolly be hard to make this a reality. Lots of balls on the ground at the end, lol.

It's from a musical animation dvd called Animusic. This is only one of the many animated songs on the dvd.

This is very awesome. How synchronized and accurate this is is astounding. C: The animation is fluid and the CGing looks professional, even.
