Brother Jim, I just found this video as I never got it. Got to love YT. Looks like you had a great time and I sure hope you found your camera brother. ........Tom
Great look at the camp and the set up. Any options for being able to sit around the fire as a group? BTW, Jared has been gathering mats to build a hammock. Says your vids have been helpful. lol, I am still in the undecided category on trying a hammock, but it sure looks better than wishing for a hoist in the am!.
@usframe Well it is nice to swing your legs up and out in the am . and I definitely sleep more if I remember to not drink to much before bed lol we had 3 nice down trees for sitting , I know my back was acting up if I sat too long. Plus people had camp chairs and stools for added comfort.
i had a great time even though it took so long getting home. had to drive through a blizzard. it was fun meeting everyone. hope the jazz cam works out for you. so what happened to the dancing jig performance? lol. screamer said he had fun and cant wait to go again. addie says hello.
@RallohE Ya we cracked up he was pretty cool to dressed in his camo gear and went an toured our camp and ate some venison jerky with us , definitely was the first for me lol
Excellent site selection - great trees to hang from! It looked cold!!! Good to see everyone made the right gear choices. Enjoyed watching Hammock Forum members doing it PA style! Thanks for sharing! (Jim - where did your video camera end up)?
@wawhiker Ya we took advatage of the hemlocks to help block the wind some, made a big difference had sustained winds 25 mph and gusts 60 mph . Camera was found at camp : )
Excellent buddyO ! Looked like fun hangin' with the peeps :o) Too bad the snow was turnin' to mush :o( You made good use of the whisperlite eh :o) Hope you found your camera my friend :o)
@Ggreenvideos Thanks Rich whisperlite did good , wind made it suck down fuel took about 10 oz white gas to melt 2 ltrs water and I didn't boil it. Camera was found glad Doc had 3 I have 2 now did a trade for one I used for this video. Now a back up and something daughter can use
@medicjimr Glad you found it my friend :o) That must have been scary ! 10oz. you say? My SMX II took around 3 oz. to melt enough snow for 2 cups and bring it to a boil...hehe! So 2 liters would have most likely required more alcohol than the white gas you used. So 10 oz. for 2 liters probably wasn't too bad buddyO ;o) The only real good cold weather stove I have is the Reactor But it's too much stove for snow melting. I guess it's time for a white gas stove myself. ;o)
@Cr0cket20 I will have a bigger ground cloth I can stake out next time . Plus when snow is not melting not so sloppy . Thanks for watching my friend .
Whooooo ....I love to see some winter hammocking! Bunch of ya'll having a big ol' time.
