  • the "magic ball" is the cintamani or philosopher's stone. in sanskrit it stands for "thought gem", but the chinese translation means "wish-fulfilling gem".

  • Your video looks more like a professional TV report. Why don't you find a job in TV stations?

  • Thanks so much for the compliment on my videos. I'm currently working to break into some TV/Radio here in Seoul.

  • Reminds me so much of my two month travel to china last year.. for example the shaolin temple :)

  • ;-)

  • I remember being frightened as a kid when entering a temple and seeing the scary face of those 사천왕 (Four Heavenly Kings). BTW, what's your favorite temple in Korea so far?

  • Don't know. I do like Inwangsan because of its dualistic nature, but I've only been to four temples so far.

  • Thanks Loz... It's this type of work that landed me the reporting job.

  • The architecture is very similar to Kyungbukkong's. Is it just typically Korean or Shilla, or some other reason?

  • If you look at all Buddhists temples of the time, you'll find similar architecture. The paint scheme was a mandate of the Josen Dynasty.

  • Aha! Thank you for clearing that up for me!

  • For a minute I thought I was watching the history channel! Well done ! I learn some thing today! Thank you!!

I heard somewhere that there is a Dongtan in China too, a newly built (or being built?) city that is entirely self-sufficient... Some super city. I'll have to look more into it.

  • Thanks for the complement. Yes, there is a Dongtan in China as well. It's being dubbed a "Green" city I believe.

  • Thanks. Not really. More looks of interest than anything else.

  • Just lovely!

  • Thank you.

  • interesting, informative, and i really like that you recorded the audio separate so that you could be at a distance from the cam. very professionally executed.
