My 1994 Toyota Camry V6 with almost 300K miles still runs better(quieter, smoother and powerful) then my buddy's 2009 Honda Accord LX with only 70K miles. BUILT TOYOTA TOUGH. I plan on keeping this Camry for another ten years(not joking)
@miltonautosales i just bought this car, with a system and sum nice rims on it. it has a 112 thousand miles on it........lol i guess i got alot of driving 2 do lmao
I laughed so hard when he mentioned how fuel efficient it is. I've got a 93 5sfe camry and it gets about 18 mpg city 21 highway. About the same as my 91 Chevy blazer.
I have a 93 Camry and it has damn near 300,000 miles. Only ever had 1 major repair on it and it was some sort of electrical switch a few years ago. Haven't had a problem since. It looks shitty now because my dad has destroyed the paint job, etc. that I had spent money to fix it up, but it runs well. Camrys are the shit!
i just crashed my eclipse and the insurance company gave me $2500 for it... i need to buy a new car. there is a 1996 camry with 260,000 miles on it.. the interior looks like NEW! and the outside looks AMAZING! its black no scratches or dents.. but he wants $2000 for it. should i buy it? and is it worth it? or should i buy a car with lower miles on it?
@countryboyG If all you're doing is local driving then there shouldn't be an issue. Camry's are great cars. Hopefully the maintenance was just as well tended to as the cosmetics.
my toyota camry is a salvage and it runs very well got it when it had 270,000 miles it's up to around 325,000 miles and the only thing it needs is tires and gas
@joewillgo It is basically a gear within the transmission that will cause the driveshaft to turn at a quicker rate than the engine. This aids in improving fuel economy. When you hear of a 4 speed transmission w/Overdrive the overdrive is actually a 5th gear. Best used at highway speeds. You turn off overdrive when in the mountains or pulling a heavy load so that you can have the maximum power and torque of the motor. Hope this helps!!
But make no mistake, this is still the best deal for it's money. I spent big money fixing it. and now it runs great and will probably continue doing so for a very long time.
I own one like that, I bought it from a dealership in Vegas. The passenger side wheel and the supporting parts were F#% up, the previous owner probably went in to a curve at high speed, broke the axle, bent the inner tie rod, and broke the steel belt of the tier. Unfortunately I had to find that out only after I bought it.
im the proud owner of a 96 camry my self and i love it lets be fair its a cheep piece of shit but it runs like a swiss watch and will never let me down long live the camry
I have a 92 camry with 325,000 miles. About to have the timing belt, water pump, seals, & belt tensioners changed. About a $700 fix. Never been in the shop and still runs like new! I should be able to get 500,000 out of it very easily.
I also have a 1996 Camry and has 218,000 miles. Is a great fuel efficient car, and runs great. I can get up to 435 miles on a full thank. I will never get rid of my Camry. I will drive it until it dies!
my 94 has 200k miles and i think I will get about $2,500

@CBZED101 The 1995-96 models of this Gen Camry got better mileage.

@CBZED101 You're right. My dad bought his because he thought it would get great gas mileage. He obviously didn't do his research.
