i couldnt be a vegan, i enjoy meat to the highest extreme. i like it where its still bloody, in the middle. It almost gives a feeling of being high when you eat enough, quite pleasant. a steak and a glass of liquor just go together well.

I appreciate that she understands that people that still eat meat, can still have a strong emotional feeling about animal cruelty. I still eat meat. I don't believe eating meat in itself is animal cruelty. Its (IMO) life it leads prior to its end, so to speak. I only buy local meat, that I can account for its lifecycle. Things like veal for example, or pretty much out of the question. I really like this women.

I'm sorry but don't those people have realy hard winters up there & rely on that meat to get through the winter. I'm sure they don't do that for sport. And its not like they can just grow crops when its winter 9 moths out of the year. And a small town in the middle of no-ware can't afford to bring in loads of food. I like The Agonist there a great band, But somtimes its all about survival.

I'm not vegetarian, I like meat. However: I like animals. In my opinion the lemur is the cutest animal ever and I didn't like seeing those seals getting beat up.

When rise against did a little video about being vegan, they purposely made it super sad and the singer looked like he was gonna cry. On purpose. I didn't like that because I felt he was trying to say eating meat is wrong and bad. With Alissa I didn't get that feeling. that's why I can respect her as a vegan a lot more than the rise

I'm all for animal rights .. though at the end of the day. A cow only has so many rightful ways it can die before its packaged. Regardless if you eat meat or you don't. Mankind itself is cruel, to itself, the environment, other species, etc. Do you think sheep actively enjoy captivity just to be shaved, and have your shirts made? Captivity is also cruel, so where is PETA in helping that cruelty end? Oh right, they only want to attack the things that wouldn't affect daily life.

They also try to inform people against, like you said, captivity of the animals and these thing called mulesing that sheep go through. The fight against everything that is harming to animals. From eating meat to animals in shelters.

I hadn't realized how awful seal hunting is, just watching that guy walk around clubbing those seals in the head pissed me off!! I'm all for eating meat (hey, we're omnivores, after all) but I definitely think that if you're gonna take a life to feed yourself you should at least do it in a quick, painless way to prevent as much suffering as possible on the creature that's giving its life so you can keep going

i love alyssa. Whilst i eat meat and such, the use of animals purely for fashion, is really upsetting or trophies like elephants and tusks, and i think there needs to be a balance. Fact is we as humans are built to be carnivores aswell as herbivores and if you can make the choice then thats great, i bought leather in the past and such and i never will again just for its use is completely avoidable.

I've been vegetarian my whole life. Being vegetarian is second nature for me. I've had chances to eat meat, and I don't, because it's my choice and my lifestyle.

I do agree with your comments about PETA, though. While Alissa's concern is genuine, I don't think PETA is the right activist group she should support.

what happens to the seal is less forse than factory farming animals, and at least everything from the fur to bones and meat of seals get put to good use. Seals also populate too much and can destroy the marine life if not kept under control.

I have issues with animal control theories because without humans the balance of life would still find a way within it's self. It's all based on personal opinion though, and animal cruelty is one of those sensitive hot spot issues. I actually clicked on the video b/c I love her band and I thought it was just an interview. Watch something called "Meat your Meat" for someone who cares strongly enough about that to change their diet (Vegans) It's hard to "Keep it to yourself" Because people willingly let this happen it's terrible. It would make anybody crazy but Vegans do try not to shove it down your throat. But merely educate people In a passionate way it can be confusing
