Its funny how americans always make themselves look like such huge parts of the second world war even though they had almost nothing to do with the Nazis themselves. Sure they were in the Japan campaign but they could have been replaced easily. @rkwittem Actually, the Nazis invaded France and the USSR, and air-raided England. They never invaded the US (for obvious reasons). It was the Japanese who finally got America in the war.

However, guys, let's remember that the Marvel Universe history of WWII differs a lot from our own, due to the presence of super-heroes.

@rkwittem You got the pacific part pretty much right, but the UK were fighting the Nazis 3 years before the USA joined WWII. WWII actually began in 1939 not 1942. While the war in Europe might have taken longer without the US's aid, it the Nazis would eventually have been defeated.

Alongside our allies, the former SU, Britain, and Canada, we liberated concentration camps and helped liberate countries. Most of the stuff portrayed here (Captain America, super soldier serum etc) is mostly stuff that Marvel made up in the 40s to help with the war effort

It's all about the money.
