I remember I bought Morrowind just on a tip alone, and the very first time I played it on my friend's xbox (I didn't actually have one) I literally played for 12 hours nonstop. It literally sucked the day away and I had no idea.
Oblivion was also one I couldn't put down and I can only imagine Skyrim will be even better.
@4dojo Morrowind has much more expanded rpg elements like more specific skills. 4 example in Oblivion u have just blunt weapons, but in Morrowind there was separately axes and hammers. There was chance to use any spell which depend on how good u r in each piece of magic. The same thing was about weapons. U haven't always hit enemies if u didn't know how to use this "tools". Oblivion was more casual :P
@4dojo If you got the appreciation of a true RPG, Morrowind is better. But an Oblivion player looking for some quick leveling and action will hate it. You start out not even being able to take on a mudcrab if you don't set up your character right.
@infantryhawk One thing I likeed best in oblivion is how much customization there was involving spells, and your charracter's ability to use them. Is that still around in morrowind?
@4dojo Even more so! While morrowind had more spell type and options, (including adding offensive "On cast" spells to items like amulets and rings,) there is a chance you can fail casting a spell.
@infantryhawk That makes sense. Not a bad idea when you put it that way. btw, have u played the new game yet? It's not as good as the prequel yet, but it's still very fun
1:08 tricked me. I thought that was the boss battle theme from Final Fantasy 13

LOL! I always thought the pirates of the carribian theme sounds like the elder scrolls theme!

Still an excellent game.

@infantryhawk I don't know that the chance of failing to cast a spell makes the game better per say, but it's interesting concept
4dojo 3 months ago
@4dojo Well, it adds to the true RPG element. The higher your level, the more often you will succeed in casting a spell in that class.
