i just wanted to say thank you for this an your other video, and i completely agree with you. i can say with confidence that i am a person who loves japan and japanese culture, but i am also fully aware that i am white, and im not trying to be japanese. I like japan because it is unique and different than our own culture and im drawn to it. but i also dont just look at the surface with the anime, music,etc, i really respect japan itself, with its history and customs.

Those names ruin things for everyone. i hate that im called that for liking the stuff. im not overly obsessed and i dont think its the holy land.. Yet i have to be called stupid names. What it comes down to is that there are just stupid people out there.

and yes people arent well educated..thats life. they see somthing and assume. Just like my grandfather showed me. He showed me a decoritve sword from japan. they were never sharped, but china has taken the swords, have sharpended them and began selling them. therefore japan loses the culture that come from them. People confuse things easily.. but i agree that people shouldnt make a big fuss if they arent sure just cus they see it in an anime. :/

Dont get me wrong I dont hate Japs, but I cannot ignore their problems. That comment was more direct towards generic Wapanese. I dont think it is wrong for them idolize a culture with so much social problems (its is much worst for women there than here) and so blindly ignore them. If you like Japan. Help it improve. Dont fantasize about something that isnt real.

It doesnt mean we have to use hateful names. just like with teh "wiggers" and stuff like that. People are into what they are into. I dont think these people literally think they are another race. Just heavily enjoying what aspects of japan they know. Even if it comes of stupid to others. Great culture and people...? You have no clue (of course you dont), of the underlying problems in Japan. The rapes, the lack of respect politicians in Japan have for women, their shitty health care, rigid conformist society (who produces "freaks" that overtly reject it), rampant sexism and racism/discrimination; denying their shameful role in WWII (some honor huh?), and how you must respect ppl above you? No, unfortunately, WWII is not irrelevant... this is due to the part of the Japanese government. Can you imagine if the Germans still deny the existence of the Holocaust today? When they will accept what they have done, officially and sincerely, is when it will be irrelevant. i just wanted to say thank you for this an your other video, and i completely agree with you. i can say with confidence that i am a person who loves japan and japanese culture, but i am also fully aware that i am white, and im not trying to be japanese. I like japan because it is unique and different than our own culture and im drawn to it. but i also dont just look at the surface with the anime, music,etc, i really respect japan itself, with its history and customs.

There is nothing with liking another culture. It's when people take it to the extreme that bothers most of us. It's the idea of "This culture is better than that one", which bad Otakus (Wapanese) do and unfortunately majority of Otakus are like that. Many of them don't really know japanese culture, yet sums it up as being the best country in the world because anime and mange come from there.

A healthy obsession is good, but not to the point that you're doing it because it's fashionable. I agree people should do what they want. They should think sometimes, because many of these people do only think of Japan as anime, manga, pocky etc kind of world and its more than that. That's like someone loving Cuba for the communist, baseball and Son. That's an insult to cubans (both in US and Cuba) I'm sorry. There is more to a culture than what is shown on tv and I wish many Otakus learn that.
