Miskeen.............. Dr Zakir Naik can not understand between profit & interest... Hence Holy Qur'an clarifies that "people will ask you that profit (from business) and riba are same... Qur'an told Prophet saw to tell those people " profit is halal but riba is haram".. Hence the disagreement of Dr. Zakir Naik is derived out of ignorance about the Islamic Banking modules how it works ethically....

@azizvk Don't blame Zakir Naik who is yet not a scholar but a da'ee. Most Modern scholars say Islamic Banking is Halal. I haven't seen a scholar except Dr. Israr Ahmed of Pakistan and Sheikh Imran Hosein of Trinidad who actually understands that the whole Banking economy is rooted in riba

Obviously they are just using semantics to interchange the words 'interest' and 'profit'. What is the difference? Some lawyer probably came up with the idea. However, where would the bank generate revenue from?

So I have a question, isn't any type of tax haram?! regardless of what a state/country's claims for the taxes are?! Can someone please provide some legit facts that get this point across to non-muslims who want to defend the tax and interest system?! Thank you! :)

@zzaberi and uzairmug.. I agree with you both 110%. Whatever any aalim says, be it taqi usmani, or nasirudeen albani, if it is against the Qur'an and Sunnah, it is not allowed. Anyone who has read ahadith on this topic realizes the great danger and level of interest and the whole system of paper money (which, remember, has no value).

a pig is haram. i repaint, reproces, cut into new shape, edjust to anew smell. ad with new chamical, put in a lab. redesign, and more. ang at last in become anew animal product. can i say it halal? no becouse the origin is haram(pig)

paper money banking is a riba base institution. its a haram 100%. muslim should avoid and claim war for it.

but now days, ulama strart tu readjust riba bank to became halal bank. for what? for not losing the banefit of bankin it selve.

@zzaberi im glad ur aware of this critical point. usury n paper money go hand in hand, so an economic system cannot be totally Islamic until it removes both elements ie currency notes (they dont have intrinsic value) and riba (which is any addition/increase in original amount).
