I also appreciated him even more when I moved to DC because in an espn world where everything sounds the same.. i could hear him and it made me feel like pittsburgh was different..and better than the other cities and their sports teams. i could be in Boston, OBX or Minnesota and shout Double Yoi at any bar and there's always a Pittsburgher who breaks the code and talks football and boxing with me. everyone else would stare and wonder if i had downs syndrome.

I agree, we have lived away from Pittsburgh but would get the broadcast on the radio,,,,play it and watch TV or just listen to radio and we felt like we were home again. A true Steeler fan knows the code.
