i don't use clutch to bring it up. just to shift when its up. and i use stock pips. when you pipe a dirtbike it doesn't give you any more power it just changes it. i like the stock pips best on my bike. it an 04 yz250

i can wheelie 1st to 5th on my yz250 no problem and i always use clutch. i did the same on my 85. you just gotta be quick about it. on the smaller bikes you have to stand it right strait up before shifting or it falls down. keep your foot on the back brake thats all. good luck with it man

@spauldingfmx3 fuck that i can ride going in 4th on my 03 yz250 and pul it up and ride it through 5th i dont use the clutch i did that on my yz80 and i fliped and ripped my fender straight up and tore off my stinger btw what are your pipe set up at i got pro circuit and there great but may want fmf any ideas

shift without clutch - release the throttle shift up quickly back on the gas. gotta do this fast, practice makes perfect XD

i have problems shifting on mine i own a 85 but when i try to shift without clutch it locks up when i shift with clutch it just falls down any suggestions?

on my yz250f i start in 2nd and shift thru gears all the to 5th, top out, and bring it down.... sometimes kinda rough cuz the front wheel will stop moving so when it touches the ground rocks n shit go everywhere lol

hey danny, sound like you might know a bit about this stuff. i have gone over jetting, air filter, and piston and my bike still doesn't have enough power to catwalk in 3rd. its like it doesn't wanna come out on the pipe. not very snappy

i have been riding for years and can wheelie any bike with no problems...but i must say that is a fantastic wheelie..very very good control. forget all the dicks who say its easy. anyone can lift the front wheel from the floor...but that wheelie is pure skill. keep it up buddy and have fun.

@paymeebtch really my 1st ever proper mono was through 4th and 5th, i can fly by the seat of my pants on one wheel better than i can slow, infact to be honest ive never done a mono below 3rd and have only ever used 2nd for stickin it across real ruff shit

lol, thats because it is easier to wheelie standing up. When u sit you are more vertical and it takes more throttle control. Oh, and it is easier to wheelie underpowered bikes too. It take a lot more throttle control to wheelie a YZ250. Try not being a dick for once and giving props where props are due. Half of the freestyle riders out there can't ride a god wheelie like that....
