I used to be the type of person to tell people I listen to a lot of underground hip hop, because it's more meaningful or thoughtful. It's usually more clever than gangsta rap, but yes, quite often it is just boasting. However, I've come to terms with that and still love it none the less. :P HOWEVER, there is still a shit load of hip hop out there that is extremely thoughtful and has nothing to do with boasting.

@jchowdalicious I would completely agree about the Hong Kong music scene. I'm not Chinese, but I've lived here for a long time. I'm actually more into hard rock, but I really like good hip hop. Hong Kong has a great underground scene with the Chinese metal kids, they really support the bands. But most other genres are pretty weak. The gwailo population get into SOME of the better rock oriented bands, but they're mostly a waste of space. Anyway, back to the point. Muph N Plutonic suck.
