One of the many, many of Neil's songs that have gone through various permutations. Must be awesome to have that kind of a back-catalog, from which you can piece-meal old into new.
archives vol. 2 is gonna be insane... his best period. ditch stuff, tonights the night, time fades away, on the beach, chrome dreams, homegrown... im gonna die.
If you drink guinness you have to be careful how you fart. The follow through can be very messy. I think this is what Neil is trying to portray in this song
i first heard white line with my uncle on cassette at around age eight...i've been in love with his music since...it's like a soundtrack to life...each one can take you back to a particular scene in your personal history...I'd love to shake the man's hand...enjoy everyone
My favorite version for sure.. Thanks for posting

its a thinner sounding version than the one of Ragged Glory. I love Ragged Glory, and the sound is so massive on that album ...
Its great to hear the way it sounded back in the 70s tho, thanks for posting this :)

Neil Young just won his first Grammy EVER for the "Archives" boxed set!

I like this version better than White Line. A little rougher around the edges....it has a classic Crazy Horse feel to it.

I don't care how much volume 2 of the archives is going to cost; there's going to be some fantastic flipping stuff.

White Line is good, but this is better, it sounds raw...Neil was at his best in those years...
