I love how you still have some of the orange/red color in the front. It makes the cut look really sassy. You look very pretty with short hair. I have a lot of cojones cause I cut my hair short like a boy. I didn't feel like transitioning.

transition before chop, so you have some lenght when you cut off the perm

I transitioned the first time for 7 months!! This time I transitioned for about 4 months with cutting here and there. Until finally last night I did a final "Big chop". Plain and simple, I didn't have the balls to cut all my hair off at once! LOL

I am in the same position as ayeyoneek! I'm about to go to college next year and I won't be able to afford relaxers anymore plus the relaxer isn't doing anything good for my hair. I'm afraid of the teeny weeny afro. anything I can do to make my chop not-so-big???

braids is probably the best bet. I did that for about 4 mos, but most folks leave them in for longer. Just be mindful of how you wash them and care for them so you dont get alot of buildup.

ahh i have relaxed hair..im in 11th grade and im thinking about going natural wen i get to college..but i dnt want my hair to be so short wen i get the big chop..so do i stop getting perms and just let my natural kick in??so it wont be as short wen i get it chopped?

there is a line of demarcation that you will feel at the point where the natural starts to kick in

let it grow out for a while...and once it grows you will be able to tell the difference from your perm to your natural hair. depending on your hair type you will see the difference from your bone straight perm and your natural kink.

No it can't. The relaxer permanently changes the the hair's structure.

she actually put some curlz brand gel on it and did a finger twist. I dont like that gel though bc it made my hair kind of hard. I used the gel like once after my bc but never again.
