Mayday - Religion! Pierwsza edycja festiwalu odbyła się 14 grudnia 1991 i była związana z akcją mającą na celu uratowanie jedynego wtedy radia grającego techno. Łatwo wytłumaczyć samą nazwę imprezy – zawołanie "mayday", czyli "pomocy".....

Nice to see my eyeball open the video. I shot that on 16mm film in February 1993 in L.A. for the 1st American rave tour "Rave New World". It is Moby in the pupil and when the eyeball (Jez's sister) looks one way, so does Moby's head. 6 hours shooting 6 seconds of film!! I then used it for Mayday Religion at Die Halle in Berlin Dec '93 projecting 16mm film loops on giant weather balloons. Incredible 1st time raving in Europe. I moved to Berlin a few years later!! still love it here!
