Complaining that it needs to be slowed down... Try watching to the end. He has done these in real time, then slowed down as it is easier to follow. I find the ones made by this master the most useful. All others have too much commentary, or are completely useless.

I Love this Kata but yet This is one that i have the most problem with but i seem to really understand the bunkai becuase I learned some of the bunkai before I learned the kata, It is a good kata to practice on breathing and power, Im doing this kata as a tournament kata next month, nervous but yet excited, I love it becuase there is alot of bunkai again not just that 1 bunkai that works really well there is alot but applying the bunkai is diffucult if not done proper, Again love this Kata,

I don't really like Kanazawa-sensei. His katas looks really bad. Movements seems chaotic and not controled (at least in this series of katas). I believe that Kagawa-sensei and Shirai-sensei are much better than Kazanawa-sensei. It's my opinion, I don't say that Kazanawa organisation of shotokan sucks, but still I think that JKA and World Shotokan Institute are much better :)

dude i am 13 and i live in romania.there are a lot of competition,and at the kata usually wins gojushiho or other kata like this...i can't learn gojushiho because our sensey didn't teached us yet this kata but at competitions other karate practicants do it...cand someone post a video with gogushiho pls(make it slow pls)

kata is form, not fight. ask your teacher to show u some bunkai, this might help u to understand some techniques better ;)

@MichaelNTL Perhaps if your instructor as well as teching you the moves of the kata were also to teach the bunkai (applications) then you may understand the application of the moves and appreciate that not all techniques have to be applied at speed to be effective. Ask your teacher for the applications (there are more than just one for each of the moves in this fundamental kata).

MichaelNTL, you're a blue belt and you don't know what kata comes after Heian Yondan???? At blue belt level, you should have mastered ALL Heian Kata, plus Tekki Shodan and Bassai Dai. Why do people make themselves look so stupid by commenting on stuff they have no understanding of???

I go to karate class and I supplement my understanding with Kanazawa's demonstrations. Sensei Kanazawa teaches even when he has no idea he is doing so! He makes me better.
