@neanderpaul It really is, but in this case shania was actually having trouble with her voice, that's one of the reasons she stoped performing in 2004! ^^

It really is a great version with Alison & company on backup. And yes it is normal to watch the lead when you're singing backup. It's not only respectful to draw attention to the lead, it helps you stay right in sync should the lead singer come in or cut off a note a split second early/late. :-)

Just to clear this up Alison is not being weird, I have seen behind the scenes to this concert and its actually a teleprompter next to the camera with the lyrics on, Alison and her band only had a week to prepare and perform this concert so I noticed that Alison actually looks in that direction a lot, as does Shania may I add. Still a great performance and perfect artists to match up!!

I miss Shania.. I know she has been gone for such a long time.. No, what I meant was her voice has changed a lot over time. She sounded different when performing this song earlier. However, I've seen her Chicago concert and she sounded great, so I guess it was only this concert when her voice wasn't at its best.

I especially like "The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn" with him singing and Jerry Douglas tearing it up on dobro.
