The way I look at it the Yanks don't buy ALL the players, there are 32 teams in th leauge and all of them have the same opportunity to sign big names its not narrowed down to just the Yanks, Mets, Red Sox etc. Everyone has the same odds entering the season, 50/50. Now with A-Rod's haters he'll always have em but you're right, you try admitting something in front of the entire Country and dealing with it

yankees spend 206 mil on players.... redsox spend the second most with 164 mil..... the majority of major league clubs spend 80-110 mil so if you gave a team like the Mariners (who spend 98 mil) and they started winning championships and penants people would say the same shit and they do buy their wins with mulitple big names not just jeter and arod

Im not brainwashed fan look at the stats buddy... look at the role he plays int the best team in the majors.. look at the fact he didnt have to take steroids to be great... look at when it comes to crunch time how clutch he is... i give credit where its deserved and Derek Jeter def deserves it... and his stats are just the proof... Dont get me wrong A Rod is great also but he isnt clutch when it comes down to it and his role at 3rd base isnt as important as the role Jeter plays at shortstop.

clutch? take a look at his playoff stats and regular season stats, they're practically the same. btw, arod was and still is a better defender than jeter. that shows how overrated jeter is, when arod came into the club, he had to be moved to a new position. jeter is a poor, poor fielder - granted he did fairly above average this year. i KNOW jeter is a good player, hes just NOT AS GOOD AS PEOPLE THINK HE IS. hence why he is overrated.
