What if i to a Deauth approch to my wireless and used Enttercap to capture the login details and the WPA password, i dont think this will work, can you give me some insite?

Just remember arp poising is a very viable attack vector but your limited inside your vlan, if your on a flat network the sky is the limit but if your in a vlan'd environment your contained inside the vlan, still effective though.

Yea the are both pretty similar, ettercap tends to work better for arp poising, cain seems cause allot of instability when it arp posions, I am sure this is more a windows limitation versus unix but cane's built in password cracker is amazing and for windows you cant do better

This whole process depends on ARP poisoning doesn't it? The sniffing is old. The ARP poisoning is the main problem isn't that so? You had to do that in both cases.

These videos are from a multipart tutorial on using Ettercap and ARP spoofing in a LAN environment. If you were not going to ARP spoof then there wouldn't be much of a reason to use Ettercap.
